My Supergun in its final stages, so I'm quite pleased. I'm including a PCB holder in my design. I want to know the dimensions of the largest board out there is so that I can measure out my holder to acommodate that and any other boards that I play. I'm thinking it's either a 6-slot MVS or a CPS-2 board, the only board I have is a 4-slot so I cant check. Any help appreciated as this is pretty much the only thing left to do.

I've seen a Primal Rage board that was positively huge. Probably 2-3 times the sq. area of a CPS-2 board.

Sega Model 1 boards take up a fair amount of space too...A fairly large CPU/video/ROM cart/network PCB stack, separate I/O board, and separate sound board stack. I think Model 2 used basically the same setup.

Midway Seattle and Vegas boards are almost as big as Primal Rage.

MKL: Thanks for posting that picture of the Ninja Warriors board! Ah, memories. I forget whihc of the 4 mask roms, but 2 have my voice in there :) :) :)

The largest board I have is probably the world's record, Cybertank. It is a 4 board stack, each board is 1.5 by 2 feet. By comparison, Ninja Warriors is some 14 by 18 inches, 2 large boards and the tiny sound board. also, Ninja Warriors is 3 monitor and consumes 15 amps of current. It will eat your supergun power supply quite fast if it is a small one...

Cybertank I think draws about 25 amps. The game is kind of insane...

No one got this? Eniac was one of the first computers (you know the room-sized ones like UNIVAC and so forth)...

Ferrari F355 triple screen might outdo that...4 Naomi units to run the three screens :)

Namco System21 hardware is also pretty big...4 PCB's in a metal cage. Each PCB is somewhere between 1.5-2 feet wide and 1 foot deep.

Well, theorically, you can connect up to 16 NAOMI board together, so...

Atually, that ROTJ board is about the same size most other Atari games of the same era. If you want to see a really huge boardset, check out an Atari system 2 game like Paperboy or 720.

Star Rider very much does (got one int he living room). On the rack, it is each huge set front and back with the rom board piggybacked via posts.

Boardwaise space, it takes up more board room than ninja warriors by amybe 10%, but is still some 30% smaller than the cybertank boardset.

Also, ninja warriors boardset is also the same size as darius 1 and 2.
