at least that's the impression I've quickly been getting over this:

I caught a glimpse of the commercial for this thing today and was quickly and immediately unimpressed...after reading the synopsis and viewing some more images it looks like first impressions are accurate for me, and this will probably suck BIG TIME...

it's been said that Ashley Judd turned down the role because she felt it was "too immature"...

EDIT: oh yeah, and Julie Newmar will always be the hottest chick to play the role as far as I'm concerned...

first of all i'm sick of all these movies coming out where they completly change the color of the character, cat women isn't fucking black, let's stop trying to make everything politically correct. the only exception is michael clarke duncan in daredevil, that guy is the fucking kingpin, even if he's black. but hell at least get michelle pfiefer or someone similar, hally berry sucks ass. and secondly cat women isn't a big enough character to have a WHOLE movie after, she's nothing but a supporting character for batman, anyway i'm sure it will suck.

oh and gayest costume EVAR, catwomen doesn't wear heels either.

He wasn't quite as big as I would have expected the Kingpin to be, considering what the Kingpin looked like in the comics, but he did fit.

updating something to make it "new and improved" is always a typical Hollywood stupid move...if they wanted to give the outfit an updated look they should have tried something like the newer look she's been given in the comix:

too bad, cuz up til now it's been Marvel that usually made crap comic-movies and DC being able to pull it off

actually that may have indirectly been DC's doing cuz I believe there was a Bat-Man graphic novel (Bat-Man: Year One maybe?) where Selina Kyle's character was a black prostitute that took up the role of CatWoman after seeing Bat-Man in action...

can any comic experts confirm this?

yeah you're right, there has been more than one catwoman, but i was reffering to the original. oh well at least Blade wasn't turned into a white guy.

MCD owned as kingpin. I couldn't picture anyone else in that role from this point forward....someone get news to Marvel that the Kingpin asl always been a black man but used alot of makeup!

I hope that if Spider-Man or the Punisher ever meets Kingpin in a movie, MCD is available.

I haven't read too many US comics, but wasn't cat woman potrayed in the second Batman movie? I thought she was excellent in that film.

Halle Berry can act but she is so bland it hurts. Her potrayal of Storm was a JOKE (as where both X-Meh movies).

By the way, Stalone as Judge Dredd was fucking lame. Judge Dredd is the original Robocop. Creep.

According to an interview, Halle Berry told that there are nine catwomen... She's like the fifth or sixth one... The movie does not take place in Gotham city... Michelle Pfieffer's catwoman is one of them (eastcoast, Gotham I believe)...
