Free issue of Manci Games

Just saw this today in the Manci Games forum:

Free issue(issue 2) of Manci Games. If you're interested, give it a shot...

In issue 1 they had a review for Garou: Mark of the Wolves, not sure what they have for the Neo in issue 2, but if it's free, might as well check it out.

Past that, they've got about 12 pages previewed on the actual site, just various retro-gaming stuff. Pretty cool. Thought I'd post it for those who may be interested.

I wrote the Garou Review. This month is a Ninja Master's review and nextmonth will be Blazing Star. Gave them all pretty thorough reviews.

I also have a big SNK article in the works for the summer. I'm working hard to get some good Neo coverage inthe mag.

Did you reallly? Hey, cool man! Yeah, I really enjoyed the Garou review, hadn't heard what was coming in the future issues(or this one). Will be looking forward to it...

As for receiving it, I've not gotten mine either...but I hear they are on the way...

I have been meaning to subscribe to this magazine... this is a great way for me to see if it is what I'm expecting before plunking down for a full subscription. It almost feels like teh R0mzzzz... neat.

Hey, VanillaThunder, do you know if international subscriptions work well? I mean, I would surely love to get this mag, but I don't want to pay and then have the magazine sent to me like two months later, or never appearing, if you know what I mean.

That is pissing me off. If they havent even shipped everyone their paied 2nd issue yet they shouldnt be sending free ones out.
I have been waiting for half a month for my 2nd issue. I've emailed them and got no responce.

Ok, just to clear it up:

Issue 2 *has* shipped. There was an initial problem, making it about a week late...then, the shipping house mailed everything "media mail"(which can take 7 to 14 days)...which, apparently, was not the deal that they had originally told Jayson(the editor) about. He is pretty upset about it as well...so, be aware that this is *not* what he had intended, and he's working to get it taken care of so this doesn't happen again with issue 3.

Now, past that, NOONE is the US(not even Jayson, the editor) has received Issue 2....NOONE(it's not just you). For some reason, only people in Canada have received it. It's weird...and most likely the fault of the new shipping house(again, that's being worked on as far as I have heard).

I know it's rough, and I too would *really* like to get my hands on issue 2...but let's cut'em just a bit of slack...it's a new mag, they're trying to get a professional mailing house to get this stuff out asap....but this is just what happens sometimes.

In another forum I was at, a few people in Europe said they got their issue 1, no problem....but I haven't heard about issue 2 internationally just yet...
