Holy shit.

Ever since I bought it, it's all I've been able to play.
Such excellent play mechanics...arcadey, yet realistic.
Everyone with a Bawks should give this thing a try.
I haven't felt this way about a racer since Ridge Racer.
If you know me, you have to know that is high praise indeed.

I'll be on to play tonight. :multi_co: :multi_co: :multi_co:

Yup.

Its a Rally game that everyone can enjoy. I have gotten 2 friends hooked on it and they dont have a clue what the WRC is but now they are very interested in it.

This will hold me till McRae 2005.

Yeah it's very addicting. I've been playing almost non-stop for the past few days. I just finished amateur and pro mode. This game has pretty much convinced one of my roommates to pick up an Xbox. And he's a hardcore PC gamer.

Hmm, I loved the hell out of Ralli-Sport 1 - how much better is 2?

What modes are avalible on Live?

Are the WRX and the Focus Turbo still in the game?

How arcadey is it? I like racers, but I want something I can pop in and play, not spend two hours tweaking how much air is in my tires.

It's not a sim like Sega GT.
It's arcadey in the sense that the gameplay relies on some simplified physics on par with the Sega Rally games. There's very little downtime and setup involved and the the sliding is a bit more forgiving than in Colin McRae.

Might have to pick it up then. I've been itching for a good racer, Sega GT is just kind of eh.

Oh yes, the Sega GT series has been a major disappointment from the beginning. Sega has lost its touch, so I don't even bother with them anymore.
But yes, next to Rallisport 2 is a must. Get Colin McRae 4 too...it's only $19.99 and different enough in regards to physics and play control to warrant a purchase.

And the best part is that the difficulty doesn't hit a near-impossible wall midway through the career mode like the first Rallisport...XBOX veterans will remember cruising through the early events and suddenly being stuck at the midway point of career mode due to the insane difficulty ramp up.

I already have gotten this game. Yeah, I kind of consider the Rallisports the *new* Sega Rally of Rally games especially since Sega decided to hold off on their franchise.

It's very good, though and I see myself playing it a whole lot this week.

Funny enough, it's been between 3 games lately.

Rallisport 2 (Enough said here, about it, already)

Tron 2.0(PC) (Love the way that this is a true "story-wise" faithful sequel, to the Movie, utilizing more modern computer terminologies(in both word and world function), and a good game to boot.)

Metal Slug 3 (the kickbutt demo that's on the latest OXM mag. Read my lips, never has a version of this game been so well set up for level score competitions. Practically instant access to restarting a level from scratch the moment you know you screwed up a scoring possibility).

For strategy, I'm currently working specifically on Romance of the 3 Kingdoms VIII(PS2).

Maybe to you, I've played through both the DC and XBOX games and thought they hang with the best of the racers. GT 2002 was a little too easy, but still solid stuff.

Perhaps. But I still feel that the Sega GT series has been lacking...particularly the DC version which lacked a true sense of "speed"...

I cleared every track in rallisport 1 with the Opel Astra, the only tracks I had any trouble on were the ice races, where were these impossible tracks?

The desert track, Kenya I believe. When you get to the 4wd class.

I've only played this offline so far but it is absolutely amazing. It and PGR2 are the two racers I'm playing the hardest at the moment.

Whether you are a massive rally fan or even casual, and I'm definitely more of the latter, this is a pretty nice game.

For anyone who hasn't picked this game up yet, give it a go - you'll probably love it.
