Is it o.k. to put my Neogeo AES inside my entertainment center? Are there any known problems of overheating?

Where would you guys recommend I put it?

I dont think there are any real known problems, but if its running in there with your DVD player,VCR, amp etc. It wouldnt hurt to run a small fan to circulate the air.

When your actually playing it wouldnt you pull it out and place on a cofee table or something ? Im AES illiterate.

Wherever you put it, have the cool controller extension cords. Waaaay less wear and tear on the AES, when it isn't getting moved arounbd, or put in an exposed place for playtime.

No problem in that department. I own 2 industrial strength official Neogeo extension cords.

The system I am getting is modded with the unibios and a/v. I am trying to figure out, from everyones experience, what the safest place might be to keep the AES stationary.

I also own an NGCD. I am trying to figure out how to connect both systems to my TV without having to unhook one everytime I play.

So far, all I can think of is to put in in a widened area within my entertainment center I had originally set up for the CD system, but I had to move the CD system due to overheating.

Anyways, what do you think?

Here is a picture:

In the bottom, left, I have removed some shelves to allow a large space enough for both the system and cartridges.

SNK never made official extensions...

Anyway, the cart system doesn't warm up very much at all and thus overheating shouldn't be a problem.

You should not have any problems with the system in your entertainment center. The AES runs really cool. My model 1 Genesis gets way hotter!

I've never noticed any type of excessive coming from an AES. It's pretty roomy inside, and there really isn't anything high power going on - plus no moving parts.

It'll be fine, mine was in an entertainment system for a long time and it's
still kicking ass.

just make sure that the ac has some breathing room around it. that is what will get hot.
