LM1881 sync separator compatiblity

LM1881-N: will this work with Jamma PCBs like MVS? what polarity does MVS put out, what does the chip take, and what does the chip put out?
Any help appreciated

jamma/mvs boards output negative going composite sync pulses.
The LM1881 strips composite sync pulses from a composite video input signal.

What is it you are trying to do ?
Are you trying to split comp sync into seperate v & h syncs

i know it usuallly strips composite sync from composite video, but it also strips out vertical sync. I wanted to put the comp sync into the comp video input and get comp sync out (again) in addition to a separated vertical sync.

I used one to split the sync from an Atomiswave and that worked

Sorry, that's all the experience I have with that.
