Hi everyone,

I have brought a 4 slot mvs board and started consolizing it. so far I have done only a few scart modifications, I am still struggling to which power wires I need to use etc and where I need to put the Power Stich too, Im completly new to doing this so if you could help in like Baby language that would be a bonus :)

The SCART
Put a Wire from Pin 15 for RED
Put a Wire from Pin 11 for Green
Put a Wire from Pin 7 for Blue
Then I put another Wire from Pin 15 and looped it to Pin 17 for Ground
Then I put another Wire from Pin 11 and looped it to Pin 13 for Ground
Then I put another Wire from Pin 7 and looped it to Pin 9 for Ground
Then I put Looped a 100 OHM resister from Pin 20 to 16
And for some Unknown reason I have attached a Wire to Pin 14 and Grounded it to pin 16, I have no idea why I did that...LOL
If the above is correct I will leave it at that for now and do the Audio Later, Just trying the basics out.

Next Alls I have is the Power Button which has 4 Pins from it, I have no idea what to do with that.

Then I have the Power Imput Socket 5 Pin Din Thingy, and Alls I know are the following:
Pin 1 & 2 = commen
pin 3 = + 5v
pin 4 = -12v
pin 5 = +12v

I really do appreciatte your time and Help guys, I would love to get my New KOF2002 up and running :)
Thanks
Brett

You mean that the same wire first goes to pin 15 and then to 17?
If so, it's definitely uncorrect. Pins 17, 13, 9 are all the same thing, i.e. ground. You should take a ground wire from the MVS board and run it to one of the ground pins. It makes no difference which as they're all the same and one is enough (unless you're making a cable with individually shielded conductors).

This is also incorrect. Run the MVS sync to pin 20 and 5v to pin 16 through the 100 ohm resistor.

Pin 14 is ground just like 9, 13 and 17: just leave it alone.

Hi MKL,
Thanks for look and helping dude, much apprecaitted indeed.

Basically I have looped the grounds back to the to the wires for the colours, I though that was right, im using the below picture for this information:

http://www.kinetic-arts.co.uk/jamma/box/scart.txt

So I think I understand what your saying, I only need to use one ground point from the MVS Jamma Board to one of these Pins?

This is also incorrect. Run the MVS sync to pin 20 and 5v to pin 16 through the 100 ohm resistor.

Sorry waht do you mean about this? wher do I find the Sync? and do I need to run a wire from the Power input part to the pin 16 and would that have to be -5v or the +5v?

Thanks
Brett

The link does not seem to work.

Yes. I recommend to use pin 17 (of the scart connector).

The 13th pin (counting from left to right) of solder side is Sync on all jamma boards and MVS is no exception.

It has to be +5v. You can tap it from a number of points but if you're not sure take it directly from the power supply.

Ok, THanks to MKL and JohnKiddier I now have the understanding of the scart and have connected that all up.
Now I just need to know about the power pinouts.
