...or, rather, I did, five days ago.

As of Saturday, May 8th, 2004, I have graduated from Lynn University cum laude (no jokes please) with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts.

After the ceremony (which contained, among other things, a speech from Governor George Pataki [R-NY]), I went out to lunch at Uncle Tai's (a Chinese restaurant in Boca Raton) before celebrating at the Sundy House Inn at Delray Beach. All in all, the ceremony was amazing, the party was excellent, and now that I'm done with college, I'm going to kick back and rest awhile.

For now in, I'm going to take a year off and try to find an internship at a local advertising agency (just to see how best I can apply and improve upon my creative skills) before I plan my next move.

ehhhhh... yes because "liberal arts" isn't a single subject, it's an umbrella subject which covers a range of subjects the same way "science" covers a range of subjects such as biology, chemistry, etc. psychology or feminism would be considered liberal arts.

in other words, insaneben here wants to become a teacher becaues liberal art degrees=teacher.

if you're going to teach in a high school, bust out a GTO and make the students respect you.

I guess in today's high school you have to come in dress as a SWAT guy just to teach boring stuff

Shouting through the door: "Okay, now I'm your new teacher, please put your guns on your table and throw your knifes on the floor... Now I will enter the room slowly." After throwing a flashbang, you can sit for a good 4 seconds before getting disturted ;)

Congrats, and remember you have a 6 month grace period before you have to start paying back those student loans. :D

Hey, congratulations Ben! Been wondering why I haven't seen you around much. You have obviously been busy ;)

I can't wait for that feeling myself. Must feel like a ton of weight lifted off your shoulders!

Liberal Arts.. YES! One of those fun suicide majors.. Right up there with Philosophy, Art, Music, Theatre, English, film, and IT, where there's 2 ways to get a job upon graduation .

a.) Know someone and
b.) Know someone.

Ad agency would be cool, use psychology and surrealistic art to pimp products to people. Just don't expect to do 60 sec spot Super Bowl ad campaigns right away.
Do you like selling? That's where the food chain begins.

A big WORD to that. Except the skirt part. Find the right one to bring home to mumma in college, cuz the difficulty finding one increases exponetially out in the real world.

Hah! Feminism? No wonder all I hear is "a major in Liberal Arts is the stupidest thing you can do in college".

/me apologizes for shitting in Ben's thread and leaves.

Nothing wrong with a degree in any subject imo.

Congratulations and best wishes for you in the future.
