cool, but the graphics look alot like something from the jet grind series.

i hope you can go into space in the swordfish and shoot down some ships. that would be awesome. :buttrock:

I see possiblity! Too bad it'll probably be another gay-ass let's make a quick buck off anime like Gundam, Vampire Hunter D, Ranma, Beserk, Lupin III.

Seriously guys, anime games are usually C+ at best.
They could really do this one proud and use the Shadowrun (Genesis) engine with a little jet fighter action.

Imagine, Going after bounties for cash, surfing the web with edward, questioning people, and gambling @ the casino!

I saw it at the show, and it actually looked like an at least moderate beat 'em up. 3D and yes, cel shaded, the level I saw looked like the setting of the first episode to me, there was a combo meter, and Spike could toggle between martial arts and a gun. The animation seemed fluid and Spike's movements looked like his tv counterpart (bringing to mind the show's opening). It is from Bandai, so like a lot of their games, it probably won't end up quite as polished as it could be, but with some unique feature that partially makes up for that.

As a big fan of the show, but also as someone who knows how crappy anime games can turn out, I plan to keep an eye on this one. I like the graphics, but I wonder if they can make a full game out of it and not get boring.

@Southtownkid: since the demo you saw resembled the first episode, could you tell if they were smart enough to use the music from the anime as well? I know that for us it may be a pretty obvious call to do that if you're trying to capture the feel, but with game developers it's a different story...

If you waited in a middling long line, you could play the game and get a shirt (which I didn't do), but the monitors I watched it on didn't have the sound. Sorry. If I had to guess based on past anime or movie inspired games, it's probably cheaper for them to create new music than to licence the original stuff. And the level I saw reminding me of the first episode was more of an impression, a feeling, similar color palatte, than anything specific like characters or events. The game didn't look bad at all from what I saw, though.

The trailer didn't seem like anything exciting but this reminded me of another anime game that was supposed to be in the works...

What the hell ever happened to that Trigun game?!
