Can anyone give me some tips for defeating Krauser's cheap ass? Currently I'm playing with Terry, but general strats are good as well. Actually, general game tips would help also. I'm playing on 'Easy' mode and still getting owned a good percentage of the time.

Knock him down then wait till hes just getting up each time and do the power knuckle and if timed right will keep on knocking him down again, i havnt used terry on it in ages now though but i know the same technique using Andy's elbow dash works a treat as i have even perfected krauser using that, pity it has to be charged in ff special though as its nowhere near effective.

if you want to be a pussy though and want to win by time count down, you can just hold the joystick down and wait till krauser walks up to you and then do the rising knuckle

just adding to Lee Gray's info...

cheesy technique for Terry users against the CPU(after knocking em down):

1) Time a slow Power Wave to hit as they get up
2) Start a Burn Knuckle that will hit JUST as the Wave connects

when done right it's a 1-2 attack that the CPU notoriously forgets to defend against, plus it sets you up so that you can now try a jump-in combo next...

specific Terry advice against Krauser:

if you're about foot sweep distance and CPU tries a Kaiser Wave, a Rising Tackle(with Strong Punch) done just as he starts closing his arms wins out every time...

Hmm, well I finally managed to defeat him using a Rising Tackle/Burn Knuckle combo... still, it was a close match.. he defeated me in the first round, then we went through two double KOs and I managed to take him out in the final round. Is it true that to get the real ending you need to beat the game without continuing? Does loading the memory card save count? If so, I need a lot of practice...

I had already figured out the 'power wave as they get up' thing, but I hadn't thought of tacking a burn knuckle onto that. Is that the A version or C version of the BK?

Anyway, thanks for the advice, guys. I played this game once in awhile in the arcades back in the day, but now I'm just starting to appreciate it.. it just feels better than SF2 in some ways. I guess it's kind of like fine wine.. it just gets better as it ages! Now I just need to get my hands on FFS....

glad we could be of help...yeah, FF2 owns but damn if they didn't make Terry the overpowered hero in this game... :D

for a true ending get through the game without losing a round and you'll be rewarded with an ending pic with some quick dialogue and one of the coolest ending tracks ("Sunset Sky III"?) during the credit roll...

FF Special is definitely worth getting, and it's pretty much all I need for my old school Garou fix now...but that's a whole other topic, eh?
;)
