how on earth is PSO, one of the most niche games ever to a small small user base
big news? I love phantasy star in particular and PSO is good to pass the time
with and hanging with the friends back in the day, but jesus.
and who cares about the matrix online. a mmorpg that's action based?
how original.
SEGA ought to be moving to bigger and better things,
not seeking out the mediocre.

Yeah. I too have lost all respect for Sega. Now they are just making crap. Sega was an awesome company during the 16-bit era. The Genesis was the last massively successful system they released....don't even get me started on the 32X...what a turd.

*As with just about everything else in life, this is just another "Dissapointment" when you let expectations of something get the best of you. I will always love SEGA for what they were, and can at times still be, but I think they've got shit for brains these days. It was a nice ride while it lasted though.

With companies like Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo there is no way Sega can get back into hardware.

Anyways, I think that the "casual" or "notas-hardcore-as-thou" crowd will think that this Matrix game is much larger than a portable DC. So I think that the fan boy in you got a bit too hyper (this is you pl. not you sn.) If you sit back and think about it, this could mean that there will actually be a good Matrix game one day. I mean, PSO was good.

I wasn't expecting the world from SEGA, just something cool. Matrix...god, it hasn't been cool for the last three years. Nerds do that to franchises sometimes.

I have it from my leet insider sources that the DC2 was finished, but one night Hajime Saotome and Keanu Reeves busted into Sega, strapped down the engineers, and inserted pachinko love beads into their asses until they agreed stop production and give the prototype to Trip Hawkins to sell as the "4DO"...

...then Keanu licked the beads. EWWWWWW!!!!!!!

Matrix Online + Sega was reported on the 10th officially, the new Phantasy Star which isnt Online is the nearest thing to be "explosive"

Have you heard any word from them about a comeback to the hardware scene ? NO.

Have you heard any word from them about a home-based Atomiswave, Dreamcast 2 or any other home hardware being released by them ? hmm.. NO
