Completely uncalled for.

This just reminds me of another israeli/palestine conflict.

The bottom line is, the dogs in that part of the world will never be civilized; let's STOP sacrificing our soldiers lives for the fucking OIL---because it's all we're getting out of it. You can't change the mindset of these animals; any hope to do so is so futile.

that's right if you act like an animal, we'll treat you like one. that's why we will be there until they are well disciplined and act civilized for once.

well, no more wondering when we'll start seeing the backlash...
*sigh*

maybe if we take pictures of "Dubya" and Rumsfeld being forced to do humiliating poses and actions on each other it'll all blow over...

I'm still not convinced that this is primarily an oil battle, but I am having serious doubts about these peoples' ability to act in a civilized manner. The backwards, barbaric mentality seems so deeply entrenched that it makes you wonder if they are even capable of living in peace.

They're not; its seriously obvious. ITS BEEN OBVIOUS. The entire arab world [this generation] is at a loss. Gas the adults and give the kids [next generation] PS2's and a taste of a modern lifestyle; watch civilized life bloom.

As messed up as it sounds, sometimes I can't help but wonder if this will, many years later, be looked at as what would have been the better course of action...and I never thought I'd hear myself say that...damn this whole situation's messed up...

The IRaqi's being treated like animals are not the Iraqis beheading our people.

This is a direct retribution of what our soldiers did in Abu Ghraib. This is why soldiers do not get to make that kind of screw up int heir judgment.

Yes, the Iraqi's who did this deserve to die, but this is something that might have been avoided had our men not done what they did

It illustrates the downward spiral even more. Now our people will in anger be more predisposed toward abusing Iraqis, who will also be more predisposed toward killing Americans.

What a fucking mess.

You're right..

the idiots in that film only need a excuse for their actions. They will do it anyways, this just garners them sentiment.

Hunt them down, torture and kill those people.

BTW, Fuck Iraq. pull out now, immediately, sit back and enjoy anarchy run wild. The militants are animals and you can only hope they get theirs.

Columbine
Iraqi Prisoner abuse
David Shepard...

it all goes on.

Only difference in overall population? Diversity and education.

I really, really, really don't want to start this argument.

I'll just say this, bobak, you're comparing apples and bicycles.

Exactly, you only have to read this thread to see how emotional and ignorant an American can really be.
Irony, really

It's my opinion that anyone fucked up enough to chop of someone's head is just looking for an excuse to do something like this. If it wasn't the Abu Ghraib incident, they'd probably do it because an American movie exposed their kid to a girl's naked shin or something.

This is awful, I hate that shit...

I made the mistake of watching a video of Daniel Pearl Being killed, on rotten or something... He was beheaded with a large hunting knife...

It made me really sick to my stomache... I felt kinda fucked up for a couple days..

I don't think highly of people who download these videos...

Really?

Well VT, I know Iraqis, I know Afghanis, I know a lot of different Middle Easterns who've moved over here even in the last year.

So I don't feel any qualms in saying what I'm saying.

Diversity: You stop fearing the other. You see what other cultures are and the exposure helps innoculate some potential conflict
Education: You have opportunity (and hopefully jobs available).

This whole Iraq thing has turned into an All-Star-Jam of terrorists.

Of course, we all knew it was going to: It seems that everyone with even a hint of love for Al Queda nearby has congregated in Iraq to do one thing: Kill Americans.

It's awful, it's stupid, but its not as typical of the population as places like Fox News would lead you to believe. The average Iraqi just wishes we would go, they try to tolerate our presence, but they don't with to kill us. It's sort of like me and Bush :)

Point taken.

One useful part of that.. at least we're an Al Quaida magnet. We can say we KNOW where they're headed, or most likely will be.

Hey, we got Howards Stern nearly pulled because Janet Jackson exposed our youth to a boob.

Again, the grip of religion does strange things to a population.

Of course, in this country we have strong institutions that make peaceful action desireable... over there, if you're a religious nut, you're usually very uneducated and have guns available at ridiculously low prices.

I totally agree that it applies to everyone.

The point I was making with that quote is that every single person who had posted in this thread was an American saying that Iraqis were all animals and that we should shoot them all.

Ironically enough, US Soldiers are told that its the Iraqis they're dealing with are the ones who can get very emotional. Of course, this is the web, so I assume people take liberty with their expression. Still, 9/11 was one creepy time on this website so I try to nip things in the bud before they get a little out of control.

I agree that the majority aren't out to get us, but there are areas (particularly those that will no longer enjoy pre-Saddam subsidies) which are extremely militant toward the US. These guys need to be shut down. How will we do it??? I'm not really sure. But some areas deserve a zero tolerance type policy.
