It's the adventure game that follows the plot of the anime. Also released on PC.

As far hentai... uh... in the PC version you can see her boobs, but that's it.

Older...?

It's the Nakoruru anime from a couple years ago. Ask Dash no Chris, I'm sure he knows much more about it than I can tell you.

I know about this. Nakoruru: A Present from Somebody.

Yep. It was on Dreamcast and PC. Not the easiest to get, but they do try to sell out of Japan. (Unlike some Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life, which was and is like impossible to get)

I have the first part of the anime series, actually. That one girl(with the dark hair and serious look) is also prominently shown in here. If you are wondering who she is, check out Samurai Shodown 5. She appears as that Nakoruru Bust-type character with the wolf shinkuru. She seems to show up, like in spirit form, and often warns Nakoruru not only of her destiny, but of the darker things that exists around her. Nakoruru seemingly holding on to her innocence and cheerful nature for dear life, as this girl seems more like the character already scorned trying to tell Nakoruru of the real world she experienced. I need to translate more to figure out if that is totally the case, but the actions certainly seem that way.

The girl in green is a friend of hers, who showed up in Capcom vs. SNK 2 as a little promotion for the Nakoruru anime and game. (This stuff released around CvsS2's time)

The anime included a bit of odd fan service for Nakoruru as well. Nothing major, but let's say Nakoruru was never *ahem* big like that in her upper area before. Generally, the anime portrayed in and around Kamui Kotan, in a time seemingly before the Samurai Shodown events. Though it gets a bit hard to tell, at times, what time things are in, and whether or not they are doing a parrallel universe. It's Samurai Shodown, they're never really clear with that.

Please someone correct me but I watched the Nakoruru anime and:

dark-haired girl = Nakoruru's MOTHER

dark-haired girl = SS5's Rera

SS5's Rera = Nakoruru's MOTHER

...right?

I wish I could tell you. You're luckier than me. I've never been able to find that Athena game, anywhere. I seriously wanted to pick it up, but no place I looked was selling. I figured, you'd have to be IN japan to find that game. But I didn't exactly care for the total quality of the package, but that it would feature the entire Athena-related cast, including characters like Kaoru (seen in ending screenshots in certain KOF games, and as a striker in KOF2000). I would also see some more backstory about the character, with that game. Stuff not explained in KOF and/or the inbetween stories that SNK would post on their site before each KOF release.

That could be the case, but like I said, it's tough to match too much. They have just about the same character design and pretty much the same attitude, but without proper translation and Samurai Shodown's tendancy to break continuities, it's tough to come to those conclusions. Boy, it would've been nice if SS0 had a story mode in something other than the japanese setting. I need to get the anime with subtitles instead of straight Raw footage and perhaps some translation to Rera's story.

I watched the anime with subtitles...

I can throw in some spoilers if want... but I really don't think that these are really spoilers, since you watched it ;)

I only watched the first episode.

BOTH!

Doujinshi is good if you like a nice "rape" story.

and pics because most of the time they're in color.
