Problem w/ Neo HORI stick

I think my HORI stick is dying. I have to turn the controller upsidedown when I press the start or select buttons. I took the controller apart and everything looks ok. I thought it just needed cleaning. Any info on how to fix this is appreciated.

Something similar like that happened to mine. The D button only worked when the cord was at a certain angle. All I could guess was that over the years of getting wrapped around the joystick, the cord developed a kink near wear it went into the base. This eventually split the plastic around the wires inside. The D wire probably got pulled apart, but worked when the two ends touched.

To solve the problem I cut out that part of wire with the joint, and rewired every single button individualy. Works flawlessly now.

Yeah, matrimelee99 it's probably just a problem with a wire...if everything on the inside looks OK. You could rewire it. If I were you I'd just live with it...after all it’s just the Select and Start buttons.
