I only have enough right now for one or the other. Which should I get: Resident Evil Outbreak or Onimusha 3 for the PS2? If you have played both or one or the other any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I played both for a bit and I gotta say that Onimusha 3 is far much bigger than the previous 2 games. it has the best CG work EVER. the cutscenes and the voice actings are improved a lot in this game (and there are many of them). the game itself offers a great deal of innovation and the story is quite interesting.

big efforts were also put on RE:OB you can tell from the detailed backgrounds. too bad I didn't have the chance to enjoy the game online.

I don't know. if I had to pick one of them, I would choose Onimusha 3.

I haven't played Onimusha 3 yet but I can pretty much guarantee that it's better than a hack job like RE:Outbreak.

Capcom had a great chance to make a kickass online horror game and they absolutely blew it. :oh_no:

RE:Online sucked. I played a few hours at my friends house...it could have been SOOOOO much more solid, but they decided to rush it out the door...too bad...

Thanks for the input so far. The other thing I thought was odd that the reviews of RE: Outbreak say all you do is run a lot. Run more than fight. That kinda sucks. I was thinking of getting it and a Network adpater to try online because I heard it was free through your ISP, but looks like Onimusha 3 is the choice so far. Any more input??? Thanks!

I really enjoyed Outbreak, it has some unique firsts for the series. The number of playable characters with different abilities is a nice plus, but a few of them just suck in the practical sense. The online compliment is nice, but the lack of even a rudimentary voice communication in the same room hampers the experience.

It's a fun title, but I ultimately got rid of it for one reason: it's too freaking short. There are five scenarios, which will only take 40 minutes to an hour to complete once you know what to do. Capcom didn't make the game long enough.

ONIMUSHA 3, ONIMUSHA 3, ONIMUSHA 3! That game is so damn tight, I couldn't stop playing it at EB Games! RE is no fun cause it's the same old with online capablities (sp). Onimusha 3 is different because nothing is pre-rendered and the story is just too cool.
