One slot MVS: NO Sound on startup???

I recently purchased a one slot mvs. However, when i turn it on, there is no neo geo jingle. the rest of the sound is fine. The cartridge made sound on another mvs board. Why is this? I have is hooked up straight jamma with mono sound switch selected.

As with any sound or gfx problems with mvs the first thing is to make shure both cart contacts and board slot socket connections are squeeky clean.
