MN Roll Call, for Troy this Saturday

I don't care where, I don't care when, I just want to see this movie. If anyone else wants to check this flick out, stand up and be recognized. After back-to-back shit movies in Hellboy and Van Helsing, I'm praying that the dialogue in Troy is at least passable. It should happen with a cast that consists of: Brad Pitt, Brian Cox, Brendan Gleeson, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Peter O'Toole, who are all top-notch actors. This may be Eric Bana's "saving grace" if he manages to show me a solid effort after The Hulk debacle.

Let me double check with my better half but I pretty sure we will be there. How about the Digital theater in Eden Prairie.

Ok Sue and I are in. Now if your serious about Delano than we need to figure out what we really want to do for dinner. If you want to go with the Delano restaurants here are the options:

DQ
McDonalds
The pub restaurant thing
Pizza Ranch
the Jukebox (pizza)
Subway
Peppermint Twist (old school drive up were they bring the food out to your car)

Now we could also meet up for dinner in Plymouth, long lake, Maple Grove...

or Suzi suggested a pot luck!

I'm willing to go to Eden Prarie or any of the others we've previously done, but Delano is a little to far (especially since Spike needs a later show -if it were afternoon/early evening, I'd be more game). Its 2hrs 43mins!

The NY Times gave it a fairly good preview/review.

If its digital projection, we should strongly consider Eden Prarie.

Lets wait for Spiderman 2 before we go to Eden Prarie. Besides, Spike said he won't be able to make it. We can do lunch and make a late afternoon/early evening showtime, easy.

Okay, if we do a reasonable showtime (i.e., before 9:00pm), I'm in for Delano.

I didn't realize how "close" it is (I just looked at mapquest).

I've got it. If its nice we can all meet at my place and you can buy or bring food and will have a midday (3-5) picnic at lake Rebecca Park. Then hang out at the Apt. play some games till the 7ish showing of Troy.

Criterionradiohead and I could only make it if it were early in the day...going to see the reformed Gn'R (Velvet Revolver) that night...sadly enough I'm very excited to see Slash. :glee:

Sure there are. Vali Hi just off of 94 & 494, it's like a 10-15 min drive from my house. They play three different movies, back-to-back-to-back.

Since the show starts at six and the old GnR was notorious for being really, really late to start shows, what time are you planning on getting to the quest?

I am 90% sure that the park has grills set up for everybody to use if we wanted to BBQ. I'll be biking down there later on this week and can get a confirmation. Give me some input on what you would like to do for food. There is a couple of really good restaurants on the way to Delano in Long Lake that we could go to also.

There's something that everyone needs to know about PinkShoes... SHE LOVES GnR. Yes I know it's sad, but she really digs that crap. So my guess is that we will be there at 5:30, giving us enough time to get close enough to the stage that we may have the lucky fortune of being splashed with a drop or two of Slash sweat. If we can go to a really early show maybe we could work something out, but otherwise I'm thinking Saturday ain't gonna' work.

Any takers to move this back a day to Sunday?

Oh yeah, I have issues with LA... but that is for another time.
