Question for consolizers

I have a 4-slot consolized board running UNIBIOS 1.2. I have hooked up some credit LEDs to the board but have found that if I have more than one cart in there they become useless as the select button switches between games instead of coining.
I want to know if its possible to use a JAMMA edge connector with credit buttons wired in with the MVS board? I figured that way I can switch between games and still have a use for the LEDs. I'm not sure that it'd work but its the only thing I can think of.
Thanks.

Ok let me try and explain again.

My 4-slot is consolised and has Unibios 1.2.

What I want to do is, be able to switch between games and be able to coin so that I don't have to have freeplay on.

If I have 1 cart in the MVS board, the SELECT button on my sticks acts as a coin button, which obviously makes the LED counters count up with each press.

If I run more than 1 cart SELECT is used to switch between carts. I am forced to set Dip 7 to freeplay in order to be able to start games as I have no way of coining. In freeplay mode the LEDs do not count up.

This is my problem, I want a way of being able to coin (LEDs count up) and switch between games, so I thought of this...

If I solder some push switches to 16 and T on the JAMMA edge of the MVS board to act as coin buttons will it work? Basically fitting some coin switches to the MVS board itself as is the case with many Superguns.

I figured that way I'd be able to switch between games with the SELECT button on my stick and still get the LEDs counting up with the coin buttons attached to the JAMMA edge.

I'd just like to know if that would work, Thanx.

Yes that would work , just put two switches on the four slot that trigger the coin inputs....

Wouldn't I have to wire ground in aswell, to the other point on the buttons?
