Yeah, I've only known the greatness of Treasure only recently since about 2002 or 2001. Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, and just tons of great quality games.

Not to everyone's tastes, my real faves are Guardian Heroes (best for me) & Light Crusader. Apart from that I find Gunstar pretty decent.

Thought I was gonna list more, guess i'm not too fussed about them in general, havnt played Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga i found pretty average.

I'm pretty sure everyone here has played some Treasure games, and that most love the company.

Yes, Hippa Linda/Freak Out/Stretch Panic. You should play it, it's simple, yet aesthetically amazing and entertaining.

How about Silhouette Mirage?

I don't have the money for the Saturn Version, but how is the US PSX version?

It's supposed to be, I was thinking of picking it up

I was hoping you'd played it

I'm going to look for Stretch Panic next time I go shopping

SP has no redeeming qualities.

Yeah I have pal vers. Freak Out. The tits and style is amusiung, the controls unique, but it missis a jump button and overall it's a little indifferent. Worth the £10 i payed for it.

No suprises people like Konami when talking about Treasure, they produced some of Konami's finest 16bit titles.(Contra, Castlenavia IV etc)

Stretch Panic didn't really grab me. Graphicaly, it's interesting. Gameplay wise, it's boring. I'll admit I probably didn't give it enough of a chance, but really, if a game doesn't have me hooked in an hour (especially a Treasure game!) that's usually a bad sign.

The upside is that it's a cheap title. Good luck finding it "in a store" though...

Found it in a local EBGames for just under £5. Not a re-release either :D

Guardian heroes is one of the greatest games ever. it was the first treasure game I bought. Ikaruga and bangai-o are pure genius. buy them now if you don't have them!

on Radiant Silvergun...

"It's been dubbed the best shooting game ever, and I haven't played it because it costs so damn much."

:mr_t:

Yeah... Bizarre site; he seems to have put a lot of effort telling people that he hasn't played many Treasure games!!!

That's what I was thinking while going through it. "This game is great...but I wouldn't know, because I haven't played it yet because I'm poor." :spock: This guy hasn't even played Guardian Heroes, yet!

Anyways, while I like some Treasure games and all, and I appreciate that they always go for something "different", and they're one of the insanely few third-party companies that have a distinctive 'feel' (when someone says, "It's like a Treasure game..." you know what they're talking about), but, to me, they're largely hit and miss, and I just don't get the sometimes religious devotion this company garners. Sure, they made Guardian Heroes, Gunstar Heroes, Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. But they also made Light Crusader, Silpheed, Stretch Panic and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure (shudders).
