Why the hell is milk almost $4.00 now?! I went to the store and the brand I usually buy cost around $1.48 now it's $3.69! What's up with that s*it? :very_ang:

Never even really noticed it. I usually just grab a gallon of the generic brand and don't even pay attention, since I sort of consider it a necessity anyway.

But I remember it being around 3 dollars like 7 or 8 years ago when I used to live in Louisiana, so I'm not really all that shocked.

Apparently the price of groceries is up 10% or more nationwide. I was just reading an article about it the other day.

Yeah...my life is really that lame :(

Last year there was a large supply of milk, so dairy farmers weren't making much money off of their cows, so they had to send them to the slaughter house to make some money. This year there seems to be a shortage of milk, so the price has gone up .50-1.50 per gallon around the nation, so don't expect it to drop anytime in the near future.

So nobody feels strange drinking the fluids from a cow's tittie?

Well, at least we aren't drinking the fluid from a bull's cock.

Doing a google search on 'milk prices' I found this article in the news section:

http://www.mlive.com/news/fljournal/index.ssf?/base/news-21/1084019140116940.xml

Ain't that about a b*tch? The article said they were raising price on milk because of a shortage of cows. That's stupid! They do all this just to lower the price on beef when no one was really complaining about it. The economy just fixed something that wasn't broke and now they got to find a way to fix it. This really sucks... :oh_no:

I have a law professor who said only a handful of people have any idea how milk prices are actually set, and he's not one of them.
