Kushnood for me.

MotW: Always play with Kushnood
KoFs: Always with Takuma in my team.

Kyokugen Karate rules everywhere anyway.

Ryo over Marco/Kushnood, but only by a hair...

the Kyokugen school is in very good hands with them two...

LOL ! Yeah !

The only downside is that Takuma doesn't have a Dragon punch on KOF's.

Takuma = supreme kyokugenryu sensei

Ryo, but that's only because Takuma is old and got his ass kicked in the Kyokugen ending of KOF 2003.

After playing Karate in SvC Chaos, I can say that's one of Takuma's finer points.

Dragon Punches are overated.

As for the poll, I'd say it's a three way draw between Ryo, Robert and Takuma, though I'm voting for Robert just to give him a much needed vote. At least Bobby keeps things interesting by changing up his moves every one or two games.

Yuri; return to your AOF 2 style and ditch the Shotokan-parody crap please. You were so much better when you had you own legit style.

Butt needs some serious lag on his moves (Everyone in MOTW now that I think about it. That's the whole reason I stopped playing the game.)

Takuma is Kyokugen's Yin, Ryo is Yang. That's why Tak stays on the ground and Ryo flies like a Dragon.

Btw., not Takuma got a dp in SvC but Mr. Karate. They're the same person, but not the same personality.

Takuma is the shit however I voted for Kushnood Butt cos he's definetly the new hotness and should definetly make an appearnce in another game soon.

hey hey.
good poll.
the Kyokugen kids got jack.
takuma would whip them in a heart beat.
as for marco, he's pretty formidable.
I'm not too sure how he would fare against takuma
them coming from two different game styles of KOF and MOTW
but in the end I would put money down on the old man.

"Alternate" being synonymous with "original" in Georgia? ;)
God, I'll never understand why the English version had to suffer that name change ("The Griffon" and "Griffon Mask" are loads better than "Tizoc," but at least one could make an ethnic background argument in support of that change). Wanted to vote for Mr. Karate (Ryo Sakazaki [Wild Ambition] version) but he's not on the list, so I figured I'd vote for Mr. Karate (Takuma Sakazaki version) but he's not there either. I just prefer to see the son and father in their "I've had enough of Geese's bullshit and I'm not going to take it anymore" and "I've got a tengu mask that drives the ladies wild" versions.

I love Marco out of all the games that kyokugen has been in. However, I think that Takuma in KOF98 and what not is the best playing, hardest to beat character. His Ryuko Ranbu is much better than Marco's (even when pressing the max amount of buttons, it still doesn't do that great of damage).

Marco is cooler (both looking, moves wise, and what not), but Takuma is a pimp in the actual gameplay department.

EDIT: Story wise, I think Takuma pretty much owns everyone (being that he's Mr Karate). Also, Marco didn't get into martial arts until much later in life... says the story. Hell, Marco's pretty old himself in MOTW, is he not?

Because a dragon punch would make him more powerful,
more than he already is. (In KOF) ;)

Btw, I voted for Takuma. NO question about it. Oh, and Kushnood is only
a student of the game.

Sometimes, but not always. I don't think that Kushnood was the better name choice. But when I first replied, there was no poll. When I come back, a poll had been added, and instead of seeing Kushnood, I find Marco. And although I think Marco's the better choice, I was just picking fun with the "alternate name" thing.

I do think Tizoc is the better name over Griffon or Griffon Mask though. And it made those early story translations easier to read...especially after seeing the 2k3 story translations stuck up at kofonline.

And remember, Georgia...the coorporate home of Coca-cola...the company that brought you the "Alternate" New Coke! Or...Coke 2 as it was later called. Thank goodness that fiasco's over with.

Hey! if you look at the marketing statistics, in double blind surveys, New Coke beat out original coke hands down in taste tests.

Takuma would be a good promoter because he is the grand master at the Kyokugen-Ryu style in the first place. If Yuri was a promoter, it would be really cool too with her being the only female and all.
