It's very addictive. Very good game. Very cheap and nasty. Looks and often sounds stupid, but give it a few hours of gameplay and you'll see why I like it so much. It's worth every penny of the $200 I spent on it. :) Seriously.

I've played it a bit in the arcades and on emu. I think its a great game. The graphics are great, but theres a big difference i grapichal quality between the players and the enemies/backgrounds.

It has a great combo system, nice characters and cheap bosses (duh).

I would buy KOF 2001 or Metal slug 3 instead, but if you already have those maybe you should get this one next.

I pre ordered my copy from Shawn on release and I love the game. Great graphics, control & music. The game is challenging without being just downright frusterating. It is well worth the $200 asking price.

Actually, the only problem for me is that there often times seems to be something missing on the backgrounds. Like when you see the entire city scape from on top of the buildings, nothign is moving - nothing is moving in the bgs at all except water. That kind of static background bullshit was completely absent in Metal Slug 1-3. The action is just fine, and although I might get mad at how cheap the computer can get (like, you're doing a combo and another enemy character walks behind you and attacks like a cheap fucker) it's truly a great game.

Yep, the backgrounds are the worst part of the game, imo...

Correct. Backgrounds suck, character animation and combo action rule in Sengoku 3. It`s a fun game imo. Not one of the best, but surely above average.

Sengoku 3 is terribly underrated, its one of the sweetest beat 'em ups i've ever played in my decade's experience since streets of rage and final fight.

I is definetly almost as good a side-scroller as Street of Rage 2. The graphics are superb, even though there are just a handfull of different enemies. The animation is very, very good. It 'feels' very good; can't explain this, but it just feels right when you kick the shit out of 3 enemies at once. I like it better than the original side-scroller Final Fight, waaaay better.

If you are in doubt, why not try emu first? Just remember that it plays 10x better on Neo!

Buy the game. You won't regret it.

On a sort of unrelated note, I wish the MS titles had more parallax effects going on in their backgrounds. For the most part, the backgrounds have no parallax effects whatsoever. I guess the ol' Neo just can't handle multiple layers and all that animation at the same time.

I think the game is pure crap... not really worth the asking price. If it ever dips down to <= $100 then maybe, but really it is just a tired beatem up with only about 12 real enemies to fight... and it just drags on and on through almost completly static and very minimal scrolling backgrounds. Everything looks good, on the surface, and the combos are fun at first, but after a few games, you will probably be happy never to play it again. I had to beg a friend to stay at the cabinet to beat it our first time through, it deffinetly loses its fun after level 3 or so.

We all have different kind of taste and that's why make us special.

Same as video game taste.

To me, Sengoku 3 is a crappy game.
I'm glad that I didn't spend $300 for this title.

You might ask me why I love Super Spy? It's worse than Sengoku 3...

Yes, it's true that Super Spy is worse than Sengoku 3 in many ways.....

BUT...

I got Super Spy for $19.....

So I don't mind to pay $19 for AES game.

$300 is a lot so I'll not waste my money to get Sengoku 3.....
