I just got finished modding my DC for imports, but I've only got a couple of games so far (SSFIIX and Last Blade 2 final edition).

I know you guys play a lot of great imports on the DC. Think you could give me a few recs.? I'm most interested in the fighters and shooters, I guess.

Clipped the battery did you? Don't expect to play Guilty Gear, and a bunch of other titles. I had to buy a whole separate DC and yank the battery unit out just so I could restore the ability to use a boot disc (which plays everything, burned too) As for reccomendations, there is so little out on the Dreamcast (though most of it is gold) that it won't take you long to collect all the good stuff. You definitely need CvS2.

Do you have a light gun? If so I have a jp. Virtua Cop 2 in my unrelated sales thread.

Not that I'm aware of - but I'm no wiz behind the soldering iron so if something craps out on me, I won't be shocked.

I just used the mod chip from ncsx - wasn't too bad. Putting the DC back together was the hardest part, IMO.

Nope. Not yet.

Thnx man. I'll check those out.

What made you bother with the mod instead of just picking up a used DC-X at gamestop for about $10 or burning a boot disk?

Well, for one thing, I kind of like tinkering even if it is sort of a risk. I've got a boot disk, but I just hate disc swapping - sort of a pet peave of mine :).

Well, a good majority of the good stuff eventually made it here to the states.

I just hated waiting and got the good stuff when it ws released in Japan, you're kinda late in the game.

pick up kof 2000, kof 99 evo and kof 99 DM, evo and DM were censored in the US slightly, and 2000 is fucking perfect, no loads or music stops between rounds. kof 2001 and 2002 are a bit shit, i never got them.

Good stuff listed already. But I have to reiderate Zero Gunner 2. One of my favorite shmups on Dreamcast. Psikyo goodness through and through.

Oh, and do you own Twinkle Star Sprites for AES/MVS? It's fairly expensive either way, so if you don't and you have some friends to play against, pick this up for DC. I personaly don't enjoy the single player mode of TSS too much, but switching off with a couple of my like-minded shmup friends for hours in versus mode just never gets old.

Also, if you have any interest in the rhythm genre, check out Cool Cool Toon. It's one of the best rhythm games I've ever played, right up there with Gitaroo Man. I can't believe how well SNK did with this game as I think it's the only venture into the genre they've ever done (correct, or no?).

Get Rez. It's great. Other than that... Well, you said shooters and fighters...

Fire Pro Wrestling D is really popular. Wrestling game, but eh. I don't like it much, but it gets rave reviews, and I don't like the wrestling genre..

Gundam: Federation VS Zeon DX is good. Of course, if you have a PS2 the domestic PS2 version has split screen play, which is a huge plus (the DC version had online play, but only in Japan).

I guess that's about it.

Shutoko Battle 2 please. ;)

Had to edit that for you.

The first game wasn't very intertaining compared to the second.
