I can't find any decent info or pictures of these games but they are intruiging and I may end up buying them. Was wondering if anyone has played these, or if there are any internet sites that has good info on these.

Anarchy in the Nippon (I know this ws made by maker(s) of one of the Virtua Fighters, but how does it play?)

Planet Joker (from the blurry pictures I've seen of this its a 3D shooter but could be wrong.)

Nekketsu Oyaku (damn elusive game. Looks like final fight. is it any good though?)

big thanks in advance :D

If anyone else wants to post mystery games for Saturn here, feel free. There's so much stuff that gets little coverage...

I own Nekketsu Oyaku. Final Fight clone, although it doesn't play as good...still it's fun.

Don't go near Planet Joker.... Its widely regarded as the worst shooter on Saturn, and the Saturn has a LOT of shooters.

There are a few peculiar titles available in English, notably Torrico & Mansion of the Hidden Souls, im quite a bastion for championing the latter, it has certain magic qualities that can disturb the viewer/player.

Never played Anarchy in the Nippon (though I probably need to).

Planet Joker - This... game... sucks... so... much... ASS! OK, you don't move up/down/left/right in straight lines, everything moves in a slant: the mech, shots, enemies, and it makes it impossible to kill anything in the top corners. Also, the graphics suck, the controls are clunky, the weapons are dumb, very little in the way of artistic design, and its just overall a very poorly made game. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Nekketsu Oyaku(aka Hot Blooded Children) - Its OK. Nothing special like Capcom's beat 'em up offerings (Dungeons and Dragons Collection, Tenci wo Kurau 2), but its a decent game. I'd say get it if you already have all the other beat 'em ups, otherwise I'd say save up for a better game or just get TwK2.

Anarchy in the Nippon - SUCKS. SLOW. STAY AWAY

Nekketsu Oyako - Mediocre. At 1st it may seem above average, but really it's just mediocre. I was excited about it at 1st but only because it was the 1st FF clone I played on Saturn... then like 5 plays later I saw it for what it is... and that's... a "6/10" title.

i like anarchy in the nippon, character design is a bit wacky (yakuza, school girl, sarariman, etc) but the play is tight. not that slow from memory though id put fighters impact on the ps1 ahead of it (and tobal 2 ahead of that :) )

no 2 is also good.. it was on the ps1 iirc. it is better than one with more characters, etc... standard sort of upgrade stuff.

Nekketsu Oyako

Im all about Nekketsu Oyako

I suppose it is just a final fight clone, but there are enough goodies in it which make it more of a B+ tittle

Crazy enemy designs, juggles, pursuit attacks, and an over abundance of weapons that you can actully incorporate into combos.

i.e - Pick up a bomb with tora, do his running 4 hit attack button combo, throw a bomb on the enemy when their down, and proceed to slash at their burning body with his 8 hit qfc sword slash move

You can't do that in Final Fight now;)

The game is really easy, but since the Saturn has so few of these games, i think it's a must buy.

fighters impact... can you beleive I was contemplating making a thread about this single game whilst I was making this one? I used to play it in the arcades alot. It has the best combo system in a 3D fighting game IMO.

Nekketsu Oyako is a pretty solid 2D beat 'em up. I think it's above average when compared to most titles in this genre.

It offers a good amount of moves including dash attacks, jump & down attacks, and even some special attacks using SF2 dragonball type motions. There's also different weapons including a boomerang ring among the classics such as rifles and bazookas. Lots of different score items to pick up too. Those include the change knocked from pop machines, little dolls, toy airplanes, and other wierd trinkets.

Another interesting thing is some of the items are age/strength related. For instance only the older, stronger Haggar look-a-like can pick up the bazookas and drink the beer health refills.

Stage & enemy design is very wacky and entertaining. In one stage you're inside a whale beating up on boxing glove-clad octupi and the H20 man (a fat guy made of water). Next thing you know, you're shot out. And you wind up on top of the whale. In another stage, you're fighting it out on a roller coaster car as it's going along the rails. The background is twisting around and moving in all sorts of directiions. Very cool.

Unfortunately there's only one ending. But each of the three characters are unique enough that you'll want to give each a try. If I had to give it a rating, I'd say an 8 out of 10.

Haven't played the other games, so I can't help you out there.
