Who do you believe is SNK's GREATEST BOXER of all time & WHY? Michael Max, Mickey Rogers, Axel Hawk, Heavy D!, Rick Strowd or Vanessa? Lastly, do you think the KOF series should have a Boxing Team?

That would be a kickass idea.

however i doubt playmore executing such a good idea.

If Xiangfei got into 2 kofs, I doubt why Rick couldn't make an appearance.

Mickey and Michael are both gay, however Axel is kinda cool in a butter bean sort of way.

My vote goes to Heavy D and a boxing team would be kickass.

KOF Boxing Team?

I wonder if there's anyway this idea could be submitted to Playmore?

Axel Hawk is the greatest SNK boxer of all time, because he appears in the greatest SNK game of all time: Fatal Fury Special. "BUST YOU UP!!" But I have to say my favorite boxer to play as would be Vanessa, who over the past few months or so, has overtaken Rick. They play simillarly in ways (to varying degrees depending on which version of Vanessa), but differently enough to warrant being seperate characters. If anyone remembers Franco's ending in RB2 (where a FF3 style human-sized Franco emerges from a cartoony, overly pumped up RB2 style Franco shell), I could picture a similar ending for Rick, where his back unzips, and out steps Vanessa.

I wouldn't mind seeing more boxers in KOF, but I don't necessarily know if I'd want them all on the same team. Spread them out a little. And no need to include Michael (who's a prototype for Axel), or Mickey. Rick would be a cool substitute for Vanessa, if you changed his lame design, but they don't really need to be both in the same game. I'd like to see Heavy D again also, maybe with a couple new teammates.

Not that any of that will happen, but it beats waiting for a '2003 members post here' thread.

You know, I FORGOT to include Franco Bash in the poll. But anyway, put me on the record as saying Heavy D! is SNK's Greatest Boxer of All-Time! Ofcourse I'm bias since he's one of my personal favorites.

I'm going with Franco. Sure, props to Heavy D!. But Franco just holds that "Rocky" feel to him.

And since he has those plains to move in, I find myself coming to loathe him more than I do Heavy D!. He's also got more a blue-collar feel to him. (Since his first appearance stage is an airport hangar assembly bay.) ....it just makes him a more appealing boxer.

Heavy D! He's The Unmatched Boxer Champion.

Plus he's got a exclamation point at the end of his name, like Bobak!

I like Vanessa's boobs, so it was hard for me not to vote for her. I feel like a tool. :(

Rethought it....Should Franco really be included? His style's listed as kickboxing, and to include him, you'd also have to include Joe Higashi, Hwa Jai, and King.

That, and Joe from Legend of Success Joe.....

Just a thought,

Good Point

I had thought of that previously... but wasn't quite certain. I recall him kicking on occasion in FF3 but I assumed SNK had him down as a Boxer. It makes more sense now that you point that out. Oh well, that being case I'm glad he isn't in the poll. Legend Sucess of Joe I've heard of the game but I'm not overly familiar with it or the main character.

The main character from Legend of Success Joe isn't really an SNK character, he's from a famous comic of the 70's, so it's fine you didn't include him. Yeah, Franco is a kickboxer; what makes him confusing is that he wears the gloves, unlike Higashi, Hua Jai, etc. He's also huge for a kickboxer, although I guess so is Sagat...

Vanessa with out a doubt
vanessa is the only one in that list that if put in a all out match in real life i think could take out Bruce Willis

Heavy D! is a god damn pimp. I like Vanessa a lot, but KOF98 Heavy has got to be the coolest looking and best playing boxer in a video game period. I love boxers in games, too (Barlog, Steve Fox and Dudley are all sweet).

My ranking goes like so (for SNK)

Heavy D!
Vanessa
Rick
Mickey
Axel Hawk

The rest.... blah. Those last two are just some of the least hated. Actually, Mickey is the only real NON Kyokugen character that I like playing as in AOF2... which isn't really saying anything.

Mickey Rogers

I always felt SNK could have improved on Mickey style... he acts and sounds like a sissy when he fights though. I think his default colors in AOF & AOF2 speaks for itself. But then again there are a few SNK fighters out there who may not be out right sissies like Mickey but definitely walk the fence. The only other out right fighter I can think of is Benimaru Nikaido.

I read some where that KOF 2004 is supposed to be a Special, I believe it was on one of the threads on this board... can't seem to find it though. Something about the Roster having Heavy D! in it and a few others (non boxers). Anybody seen this thread... maybe I read it at KOF Online... although that board is dying.

Anyway, I'd be satisfied if SNK released a KOF with :mr_t: Heavy D! and Vanessa.

I certainly hope that KOF '04 isn't a special. We've had two dream matches in the past two years. The time isn't right for another dream match. To keep from loosing player interest, they'll really have to move their story foreward again.

You've fallen into the trap. NeoWave isn't KOF2004. Not officially. Nor is it being made by the normal KOF team. You can find better info from Beezlebubbles threads over in General and News&Rumors.
