Just want to know how many of you are really into cars. My stepdad loves cars. He has a Prowler (5000 were made for the US), a mint 1963 Thunderbird, and Mercedes SL 500 among others. I mean I don't really care that much about cars. All I have is a 2 door Toyota Celica, and Mercedes 300 SD. Anyone here car officionados?

I LOVE the old American muscle cars. I love cars from all over but muscle cars take the cake for me.

I plan on getting one or two in the future, probably a 1967 Pontiac GTO and a Plymouth Fury or a Dodge Challenger or Charger.

I have only one car now, but it's a pimp ride indeed. A black 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LSS. Fully loaded, leather interior, a damn nice sound system for factory (with CD player), and power everything. Not to mention the A/C is cold as ice. Absolutely primo condition, it has 130000 miles but I expect it to last a few more years, the thing was taken care of VERY well. She's probably not much in the eyes of most but she's a babe to me.

I'm into RX-7s and Subarus. I drive a 89 Subaru XT6; my brother drives an 88 RX7 Turbo II and we autocross. If it has a Rotary or Boxer engine, then I'm interested. Just got back on monday from the Rotary Revolution convention in Indianapolis actually.

I'm a VW guy myself! I am restoring my 66 VW Bug and loving every minute of it. Everything on it is stock, from the 1300 cc motor to the carboard glovebox. Going to rebuild the motor for show and buy me a more powerful motor for my daily driving. My brother drives a 73 beetle w/ the ugly fatchicks taillights. :loco: Any air-cooled drivers out there?

Still hoping to get a 1969 Corvette Coupe with both tops (2nd top=removable hardtop), black paint, white convertible top, white leather interior with black carpet. Then drop a GM Performance Parts ZL-1 engine in it and have 560hp pushing me down the street.

Used to be really into modding cars in highschool/college. Nowadays tho I shy away from that stuff because I would rather do other things w/ the money (although it's really tempting at times!). Currently driving a 2001 bmw 330i.

Well you definitely should do the free mod, take the intake silencer off. Open the hood, passenger side, you'll see that black plastic. Jack the car up, take the bolts out, be sure to cover the hole with duct tape, and wham 2 to 3 hp and a much more bad ass sounding car :buttrock:

At one point I thought the only reason to have a car was to haul around all my stereo equipment.

I had a $50 car (Renault convertable) that I put $27000 in equipment in there, but thats what happens when you live at home with a full time job (ahh, the memories)

My mom eventually stopped bitch'n and started asking my to install something in her car.

She was rock'n her Niel Diamond in no time :buttrock:

That is a beaut of an Integra. I wanted to get one, but my 6'10" frame wouldn't let fit. My knees would jam up against the steering wheel as I operated the clutch and shifted. Beautiful car, though, and can get some SICK mods.

I have a 96 240sx. The only mods I have are all for suspension. I may decide to swap my KA for an SR20 one day, but am stil undecided.

I'm a big car aficianado and like all types of cars, although I tend to be a bit bias towards imports and American cars (especially muscle cars, can't fuck with a Charger R/T). I don't drive a fancy car like some of you guys with your Benzes, WRX's, Integras, and other cars and I admit that I drive a Camry but I'm saving up to get the new Civic Si with the HFP package and turn it into a sleeper, or at least put some muscle in it.

REPPIN' TEH CAMRY!! :buttrock:

I drive an S-10 pickup to work, but I still have my '95 Nissan 240sx and love it. If I get a decent job over the next few months I'll start doing the work on it that I've been putting off for so long.

-New paint, change from maroon to black.
-Strip the current tint, get new, darker tint.
-Tasteful body kit and spoiler, nothing too "ricey".
-Swap out factory alloys with a new set, maybe something a little bigger.
-Swap out the current Firestones with some Bridgestone lo pro's.
-A little engine work, new intake and exhaust.

If it pans out, I'll post some before and after pics.

I hear ya with the height thing, I'm 6' 4" and I just barely fit in it. Sick mods comming this summer, starting with new paint ( you cant see it but some worthless piece of trash keyed it ALL TEH WAY AROUND the entire car :very_ang: )

5 cylinder?

I may be after one myself. The five cylinders are legendary. Nothing beats a mercedes diesel when it comes to economics.

I'd like an '85 300D.
