Hi again! Well, I know now that I want to get a AES system. As far as controllers go, someone suggested getting the CD controllers (I'm used to game pads now...go fig) as an alternative to the joysticks.

All I need to know is if you have played with them and are the well built and responsive. Thanks!

Yea they're great. Just as good quality as the big old-style joysticks. The button placement can be a little tricky though if you're going from the arcade to the pad, since the arcade placement is the four buttons in a sort of crooked row and the cd controller has them in a 2x2 layout. I prefer the big 'un to the pad, you'll probably get used to it if you went that route.

The sticks are awkward at first but they are far more fun to play on then the game pads. I myself hope to get some real arcade sticks, like a massystems one or something. I have the neo cd pads, I think they are OK, but the sticks are way better. This is all just my opinion, so if you really hate the sticks stay with the pads.

They're very well made, the small stick in the CD joypad is great, even though for fighting games the joystick is still the best...

It depend of what games you play. If you want to buy many fighting games, the arcade stick is the best but for the other games, the CD version is often more confortable to play. The best thing to do is to have the two version and choose one when you play.

I hate the way the directional pad clicks, i can never fully get into a game cause im always thinking about breaking/wareing out the controller <img src="graemlins/envy.gif" border="0" alt="[Envy]" />

I never really liked sticks until I got my Neo. I love playing MS3 with the stick. It's alot easier and I enjoy button mashing on the stick. I get sick of button mashing on a pad easily.
