Sound loss on MV-1

Out of nowhere last night, upon booting my MVS, there was no sound at all. As it was, I was tapping audio right off the connector on the board, which ran to stereo RCA jacks and finally to my component stereo system. All connections seem fine and the stereo works perfectly on its own. I moved connection to the speaker connector on the board, and still nothing. Finally, I tried audio off the harness, and again, nadda.

Do these things just *die* with no prompting? If so, then it looks like I'll be needing a new board (unless there's a fix.) Anyone want to trade a board for a perfect, without sound MV-1 and some cash? ;)

Yeah, both cart and board connections were cleaned completely (I'm OCD, so nothing goes uncleaned around here.) There's never been a problem, and what's especially odd about it is that the game was in the board before the problem, it worked just fine, and was never removed or adjusted. I've since tried other carts, and still nothing.

Hopefully this will be a non-issue now since a 4-Slot is on its way here.
