Are there times when E3 is open to the public on a "walk-in" basis? I know you can get in without registering, right. Or MUST you register? I might be there as I will be in the SF bay area from May 8-13 and am thinking of making the drive to LA. Thanks.

The public can't get in.

But, if you go the last day, people leaving will typically sell you their passes for a few hours. That's about it.

Haha... that isn't a short 'drive'... I would make sure you could get in before doing the 6-8 hour drive to Los Angeles from the bay area (depending on when you leave of course ;) )

I'd say plan on going next year and make sure you register,

There is a way to get in. People can get in if they have a pass. I used to know ppl who had these in the past. If you can get a hold of one of those, you can still get in. But as far as just going in w/o it, you can't. You have to register for this event and it is NOT open to the public. The easiest way to get in is to make your own ficticious business. I have my own business and I register using that. You just need business cards, invoice (excel invoice works), print ad (i print out my website) and that's it. These can all be printed out and faxed to them. For next year, you can do this (and they haven't changed their policy much). That's how I got in for the past 3 years.

You can add your friends too by doing this, just use your ficticious business address. As far as getting in this year, it might be tough but you might want to ask ppl if they want to sell their badge. I might know some ppl who would sell theirs. How much you wanan pay?

Just to clarify thngs. I DO NOT HAVE E3 TICKETS.

Ok, that said, the only way to get tickets at all at this point is to:

A: Get one of those flyers that allows you to get in
B: Buy or "borrow" someone's badge who isn't going all three days
C: Pray that someone drops their badge

Other than that at this point, that's it. So please do not ask me for my badge because i am going all three days. Also, I cannot get anyone else in as preregistration was over on april 9 and those people I know have priority over people I do not know asking me for tickets or badges.

If you really want to know how to get in for next year, read my previous post on this thread. I can show you examples of what I used to get in. Its easier than you think.

I do have some past E3 videos I made that I put on DVD-R's if anyone is interested. I haev some from 2002 and 2003. The 2003 one has exclusive footage of the Tecmo Ninja Gaiden Xbox game played by the creator himself. I got pretty good footage of the demo in action back at e3 2003. I have some random footage of some cool stuff. If anyone is interested, pm me and I will make copies, just pay me like $5.00 for both discs plus shipping unless I see you at E3.
