Now that the New Neo releases are ceasing, what will the Neo store sell?

Ports? Or just continue to sell old Neo games more than before?

I have been wondering the same thing. The Atomiswave hardware and software will most likely be fully supported. I think that Neo carts/CDs will still be sold at the NeoStore for a long time.

I've wondered about that too - I believe there was another post about it back when the "Neo is dying" drama took place.

I can't really say though - I guess the impact of no more new releases all depends on what percentage of the Neo Store profits were made off of them. I'm sure the Atomiswave will be fully supported, but there's no home console for that, so I'm not sure what (if any) exclusivity rights the Neo Store will have with the AW. I don't know. We'll see I guess.

Sorry....it's was the only corny line I could think up..... :confused:

It still applies though.... Most Sammy Ports come out really good. I just hope the same for the SNK/P ports. But with support for MVS/AES gone....it's wait out the ports or scoop-up the AW releases as they come.

Don't you know Sega is releasing a home Atomiswave at E3 and Shawn and the neo store will be the US distributers. :rolleyes:

I think the neo store will be ports ahoy. And T-shirts would be nice.

well, it's only a guess but i Reckon the store will focus keeping the market active. Now that the neo is dead there is going to be a gradual increase in the number of MVS units (boards and Carts) coming out of arcades and on to the secondary market . The AES collectors market is not going to go away (if anything it will get more competitive) and the Neostore has a good rep with regard to "what you see is what you get if a little expensive at times".

new software wise i can see going more "SNK" than "neo" so a few ports here and there and the Atomiswave stuff (seem to be selling quite well).

Anyway thats what I reckon...

Or you could just not even bother with Atomiswave (like me) and just enjoy the NeoGeo and what it already has. Seriously, do you need countless rehashes and "special editions" of games to be happy with the Neo? Pull Playmore out of your ass and enjoy the games SNK made for once. You know, before classic inserts they got inserts right the first time, there, one less thing for you losers to bitch about because I know it's a popular topic of debate.

There's more to the Neo than King of Fighters and Metal Slug, I suggest some of you learn that.

Failing Atomiswave, I don't think it would be going too far to produce official t-shirts (preferrably with a simple blue or black SNK logo) and stickers. They'd sell pretty well it seems to me.

Oh yeah, and crack.

My projections-

- I think the neostore will continue to buy/sell/trade NEO software, hardware, and accessories for the next couple years.

- Atomiswave will be fully supported.

- If Sega is in fact in bed with Sammy and hopefully SNKP, we may see some support for Sega's new hardware.

- I would like to see NEO apparel sold here as well.

- Lastly, I'd like it if Shawn could coordinate with SNKP to get unreleased NEO games put on AES, and also get approval to allow homebrew software to be sold legally.

I don't see Shawn running out of AES cart, CD's, MVS games for quite awhile now. Just when it seems like SNK has given him all their NOS, he somehow manages to get even more stuff. I think in the coming soon section of the store, he was getting like over 100 controllers, tons of games, a few MVS systems.

So, as far as Shawn having to resort to selling ports and other wanna-be SNK/Neo Geo stuff, I don't see that happening for a good long time. At least another 2 years or so.
