The Vampire series is simply great. Amazing and variate character design, decent system and great music.

It would be nice to see a new game to be released soon, anyway, since Sammy is working in "Sammy vs Capcom", we will be seeing many Vampire characters in that game.

Unfortunately, any Darkstalker/Vampire sprites that end up in Sammy vs Capcom will be the same sprites we've been seeing since the original Darkstalkers/Vampire.

Vampire Series, teh shit...Im sorry...but I still feel SF Zero/Alpha stole the idea behind Vampire, look at the super meters, the air blocking, etc. Plus being one of the finest and prettiest animation coming from a CPS-2 board is the shit

Hopefully this Nov. I'll have my CPS2 setup, for now TEH XBAWKS and my various ports of the seires on different systems will keep me happy.

ah yes, bless the Vampire/Darkstalkers series...having this and Super SFII Turbo in the arcades back in college was the best... :drool_2:

while the introduction of the Alpha series was nice, it's a damn shame that it pretty much killed the simultaneous release of Nightwarriors: Darkstalkers by stealing everyone's attention...*sigh* :crying:

still, years later I was blessed with the chance to see Vampire Savior in a Nathan's Arcade and got to enjoy Demitri's story (boy finally gets girl and makes her his slave...so beautiful)

and nowadays? Dreamcast + Vampire Chronicle = very happy boy

OK, dont kill me fanbois, i KNOW i need education on this series, but after various rentals and romage, i just dont get it.

I dig the graphics and characters, but as of yet found no fun, i need to spend more time with it i admit.I'm on the lookout for a pal Saturn Night Warriors right now.

well, if you consider when Darkstalkers was first introduced and compare it to the SF series at the time, it was an amazing breath of fresh air that showed some real innovation on Capcom's part...truly great character designs AND amazingly tight gameplay...I mean, using supernatural creatures as the theme was pure genius to me...

Yes, the Vampire series kicks more ass than Pele trapped at a donkey farm.
So fucking good, such vintage Capcom love...possibly the most underrated fighting series of all time. My roms get a regular workout.

ah, Darkstalkers. I had so much fun playing Darkstalkers when I was a kid. Great characters, tight gameplay, great Backgrounds, and great character art. Sadly, I doubt that Capcom will bring back the series. So far, The newest Darkstalkers will come in the form of a Comic Book this Summer.

This is the ONLY fighting game series where I think each character is very good and uniquely designed (even with the whole Cham Cham vs. Felicia debate)... I love each and every one of them DS characters... I love Hsien-Ko even though I suck at using her!....

The Vampire games are amazing. I've been completely in love since I first got the US saturn version of Hunter when it came out in 96. I just recently found brand new import copy of Hunter that I picked up. Odd thing is that the import has some voice samples not found in the US version. I remember having the CPS board of Hunter long long ago...thoes where happy happy days. All Demetri/Gallon player here. There needs to be some Vampire tourneys around...badly. Although I'd prefer Hunter over Savior. :buttrock:

Darkstalkers how I knew you. I remember playing and seeing it for the first time, it was like a breath of fresh air. Everything from the graphics the supernatural fighters and the game play just felt right. Great now I have to dig out a home version to play.

AWE SNAP! I love Vampire Savior. I just recently got the import for my Saturn, freakin' sweet man. I love the comic book look and the really "out-there" characters. Definitely Capcom's most original fighter.

VS is GREAT! I still can't play it worth crap but I love Hsien-ko(Lei Lei) and Donavon. I've got the whole series that was released on the saturn (Got DS new still sealed!) I just wish I could Anakaris better. I can never remember his specials (or anyone elses for that matter) but his specials are what specials should be. Larger than life, crazy, and risky!

Incidentally, anybody know if there are vids of this game anywhere?
