KoF 2003 kicks ass but I miss K9999

Hell, I miss them and Vanessa and Angel, too. And I'd rather have Lin back than Eiji.

It's interesting that SNK Playmore dumped virtually all the NESTS saga characters (with the exception of K' and Maxima) with no explanation whatsoever.
Vanessa and Ramon are the ones I'd love to see make a comeback. K9999 is cool too, and dammit, I wish they'd just throw continuity out the window and bring back Foxy. She was the best out of the NESTS Team anyway.

Vanessa was the fucking shit!
Although Shen Wu is a really cool design, too. Shame they couldn't incorporate both of them...
K9999 wasn't exactly the most original design, but he was definitely a fun character to play with...

I definitely miss Vanessa the most. A character that was tons of fun to play. I didn't like her at first in KOF00, but I definitely warmed up to her 
Andy and Heidern are definitely missed too. Heidern has really gotten the shaft in KOF. Alo EIJI, the character that should always be there, but never is

I liked K'9999, but they had to call it quits after a couple of games. Using him twice was an homage... making him a regular character would be a full-blown Akira ripoff.
Screw Vanessa! All she's ever been is a poor ripoff substitute for Rick Strowd. If you want some Rick Strowd-ness in your KOF, why not use Rick Strowd???
Lin was decent, but Duo Long is better. Pity they couldn't balance him. I wouldn't mind seeing Eiji again myself, that character had flow.
Let's see... Angel was to anti-intuitive, Foxy had potential but too much priority on the DP, Heidern has always been overpowered, and Andy was getting repetitive over the last few KOFs.
The only character mentioned above that I can really say I miss is Ramon. They finally unlocked his potential, but didn't bring him back because he'd have had those deadbeats Seth and Vanessa with him. He needs to join another team somehow.

Everybody says 'Kamen Rider', but her sunglasses, the way she wears them, her bell bottomed pants, her belt with the red and blue halves, and even one of her DMs (Mei-The-End) -- all come from 'Kikaider', another character created by Kamen Rider creator Shotaro Ishinomori. Just so people know. I guess the scarf is kind of Kamen Rider-ish, but a lot of Ishinomori's other characters have scarves, too. She feels to me like an homage to all of his characters, but a bit more Kikaider than anything else.Sticks said:

Fuck K9999. Hes a shitty character. I couldn't stand seeing a character with crappy designs, moves and personna. I'm glad hes gone. I hope he never graces a KoF game again!
I agree with Spike, They should bring back Ramon. Hes my fav in KoF 2000.

Too true. And as much as I hated K9999, Angel was cool. But, if the
price of getting rid of K9999 for good is to lose Angel, then so be it.
Either way, it's still no excuse for killing off Foxy or not having
Kula and Vanessa present in 2003. As for May Lee: meh.
