Chopper is indeed a fine movie....

Also check out Romper Stomper, and Gallipoli....plus anything by the Austrailian directors George Miller(Road Warrior), or Peter Weir(Witness, Gallipoli)

MAD MAX!

I've never seen 'Chopper' but I've heard about the actual guy it was based on. William Gibson also used the Chopper character as the basis for one of the characters in the book 'Idoru'.

Australian flicks huh? Well theres this one little gem most either never saw much less heard about called KISS OR KILL by Upstart INDIE film director "Bill Bennet". It came out in 1997 and is a damn good flick in that Guerrilla kind of way. I haven't seen it since then, but having stumbled upon this old thread and seeing as how no one mentioned it, I thought I'd give it "Teh MAD PROPS". It's film noir Aussie style! Not sure if it ever made the jump to DVD but it's out there on VHS for those who want to sample something a bit different. Not great, but far from horrible too.
