PS2 or XBOX?

I´ve finally decided to buy one of the two. However, I heard recently that Sony of America no longer approves 2d games. That would mean that Metal Slug 3, SNK VS Capcom: Chaos etc will not be coming to the PS2 in the States. Is this true?Because if it is, this will certainly affect my choice.

No metal slug 3 on the PS2 but there is a combo pack with 4 and 5 coming, plus a kof 2002/2003 pack as well. Not to mention a Street Fighter 2/3 combo pack.

HOWEVER all of these games except for Street Fighter 3 are available on the X-box in ROM format. :)

Anyway, it's better to look at what's already out, and see which system has more games that you like, and then make your decision.

Xbox.

I love my PS2, but only because it's become the current shmup system (other than DC... It's still current damnit!).

If you want only Japanese games, get a Japanese ver., or just get it modded.

Go for teh bawkz. As sad as this situation is, they actually seem to be the less oppressive (toward developers) of the two companies.
