I was wondering if anyone else hates having loose MVS carts in their collection. I know it shouldn't matter, after all you don't play the art work. But for some reason I hate having things that aren't complete. As for AES, I will NEVER buy a loose cart. Anyone who is dumb enough to loose the case should be shot.

For MVS, I'm fine with loose carts, as a cardboard box and marquees and other paraphernalia that come with the kit aren't important to me. As long as the carts are originals and work, and are reasonably priced, they're fine by me. Were I a collector, and especially an AES collector, I would insist on completeness and condition of the carts.

Loose carts are fine by me, saves up a quarter of an inch of space (per cart) when stacking them on shelves. (When comparing to Shock Boxes or actual kit boxes themselves)

Yet you cant blame the people who had the boxes for loosing them, a majority of these carts were used in arcades across American Malls, and I don't know if it dawns on you, but have you seen how ghetto they look these days with crap on the carpets and it smells like a dead corpse in there sometimes, and no air conditioning in the building what so ever.

You can see it on the carts too...the dust, the aging, the labels that are pratically peeling....It's good that a majority of them have been saved already from the lack of care..Those poor carts suffered a decade of hell or more so.

These Loose carts deserve a better home then what they had. So I'm more then proud to have 28 Loose Carts sitting in my house

I only try to get the kits for the games I really love like rb2.

Bare mvs carts bother not in the slightest.

I buy kits, but have never thought to be an idiot against loose cart people. You know even home carts are games, and some people did treat them as such. So saying you would shoot anyone that loses a case makes you look retarded.

If I had an AES I would want the complete setup, not a cart. But in my MVS I really do give a shit about a cardboard box and some art. I would rather have a MVS cart, MM, shockbox with insert then a cardboard box and random SMALL art. Thats just me though......

I always require the box, but not the artsy stuff. This way my carts wont be bare and exposed and they look nicer on the shelf. Shockboxes are too expensive and too hard to find. But for games I like, like all Metal Slugs, I must have the full kit.

I prefer to get the full kit if possible, simply for the sake of completeness. I mean, I know I'm not going to be staring at the art all day long, but it irks me when I know some items that came with the game when it was new are missing.

I prefer full kits, but have bought games without a full kit when I want to just play them and probably will not keep them.

Full kits with matching serials.

I have a couple of loose carts for those games
that I have not been able to find full kits of, (Breakers Revenge with art pack) but
eventually I will find the kits and they will come home.

Only having loose carts, I don't know that it would mean anything more to me to have the full kit. I do like to have the MM with the cart if possible, something strangely satisfying to have the MM in the marquee while you play the game. Heck, I don't even have MM for all my loose carts. I have found that a Priority Mail carton holds 8 carts pretty nicely! :smirk: Keeps the dust off em!

With my NGPC, I like having the box and instructions. Something different about that which I can't explain.

As far as MVS goes, loose carts are fine by me,maybe a mini marquee or move stickers for my cab,as I don't see the point of collecting those ugly brown boxes,or paying out the ass for some flyers and such.

I think it's rather silly to collect kits in the first place,I mean,if you're a collector,AES is the only way to go.

I'm cool with loose carts, as long as I've got a shockbox and a nice insert for it. MVS kits are cool, but not necessary for me. I look at MVS as more of a way to play the games I can't afford on AES.

My AES games gotta be complete though.

I just like the way the shockboxes look on my shelf, and furthermore most artwork is rather cool so I want all of those too :D
