I'm interested in Mutation Nation and Ninja Commando

Are those games any good?

Which one would you say is the best?

You probably mean Ninja Combat; Comando is an up the screen shooter similar to Ikari Warriors etc.

I'd go for Mutation Nation, NC is quite dated.

If you are looking for a low cost game...I'd go for Sengoku.

If you got some cash to spend, I'd grab Sengoku 2, or Sengoku 3.

Although some will disagree, Sengoku 3 is the best Beat em up you can get for your Neo IMO.

Mutation Nation. either Sengoku 2 or Sengoku 3 as 2nd.

I tried Sengoku 3 a couple of years ago in an arcade. I was very impressed at first, but after a while I found it was repetitive. I had a stack of tokens with me, but didn't feel particularly motivated to pump more into the machine. So I played a different game.

True story.

Sengoku 3; great music, nice combo system, cheese final boss.

Best brawler on the Neo Geo.

I haven't played Sengoku 3 yet, but my vote goes to Sengoku 2. Fucking awesome mood, music, BGs, level design, character design, and more interesting gameplay than the average beat-em-up due to the character switching...

Nothing like cutting a samurai in half with one swing of a sword on top of an airplane during the second world war...unless you can transform in to a dog afterwards and shit on the corpse (why oh why can't you shit on their corpse? :crying: )...

The orginal Sengoku was really great. I always thought it was cool to catch the sword blade of the samurai, then break it. :tickled:

the Sengoku 1&2 are lots of fun
just dont play much 2 player keep the gay pink cowboy out of it

Sengoku 3 is over rated. Definately the best looking of the category, but really lacks in fun. It is enjoyable with 2 players, but going solo sucks. The combo feature is very cool though.

I'm suprised no one said 8-Man. I love that game. And the running levels are damn cool too. 8-Man and Robo Army are my top favs. With Sengoku 2 in second,.

8 man is good, but my fav is mutation nation.
I remember sengoku being a cool ass game back in the day
but man, when I tried it out again a few years ago again
I just couldn't play it. not half as good as I remembered.

I like Ninja Commando...

but then again, Commando style games rule anyway.

Having not played ST2,

Shock Troopers > Mercs > Ninja Commando > Guerilla War > Ikari Series > Commando
