Has anyone else noticed atomiswaves's output being way too bright on their cabinet? What's up with that? Black looks grey and the output is way overdriven. Why? :annoyed: Are dedicated cabs the same?

I think norton complained about having this trouble too...
Personally, in my TV through RGB the AW looks fine. It looks even better in the PC monitor.

I have to adjust the brightness down on my 4-slut dedicated to make it look ok. Not a big deal I suppose, not sure why it does it though either.

I have this same problem with my cab. I turn the brightness setting on my cab all the way down, and its still really bright. Knight of Valour and Demolish Fist looks the worst. Dolphin Blue and Guilty Gear looks already.

But if you hook this up to a VGA monitor, then the brightness problem is gone. It has something to do with low resolution cabs I think. :crying:

WOuld it help if we were to add say a 75 ohm restor on the RGB signals?

Actually I was about to suggest someting like this. Maybe a variable resistor on each line you can adjust would be the best possible solution.

I know the problem exists on all atomiswave boards, however:

My concern is that it shouldn't be this way to begin with.

I can't say I have any problems with my AW being too bright. I use a Sigma, and the video output is fantastic on it. Sorry to hear about that man. :(

I take it you don't have alot of different pcb boards. Most of the time you have to addjust the monitor in a cab when you switch out to a different board. Oh and yes it is bright at first and so is a Naomi. :)

Actualy it's about the same brightness of my dreamcast when I run it in my cab....

I know you have to make minor adjustments when switching any board, but this game runs brighter than the masses......

I wish every interchangeable board was as perfect as the MVS board. I mean find me a setup which the MVS Doesnt work on........
