Hi all!

I'm getting a beastly tax return in a few weeks here, and want to spend it on something frivelous that I really don't need. Wouldn't be an American if I didn't complain all year about not being able to pay the bills because Uncle Sam takes to much, and then waste what he gives me back. ;)

Anyways, does anybody know a good place in Minnesota to pick up a Neo Geo (or something I can put an MVS unit in) arcade cabinet?

Thanks for your help,

-Nick

Good luck finding a place. I've done a bit of research here and there, but there is really no place around that sells cabs. Most places here in MN only deal in pool tables and the like.

There are not too many arcade auctions here, either. Last one I went to was many years ago, and I haven't seen mention of any in the paper recently.

There used to be a place on Highway 65 in Ham Lake called Budget Pinball (16345 Hwy. 65 NE). Last time I was there, which was quite a while ago, they had a Prehistoric Isle 2 poster up, but no MVS cabs.

Their # is: 763-413-4950.
Whether they are still around or not, I'm unsure of. Give them a try.

Another place I checked around October of last year had a 1-slot. Their # is: 763-493-3626. I don't know where they are located or who they were, but I remembered they seemed friendly on the phone. Who needs details, anyway?

Sorry about the sparse details, but I hope that helps. If you find any others, let us know.

Thanks for the help.

I know there's a place in Rochester (D and R Star is the name, I think) that has some cabs that could likely be used with Neo Geo hardware, but they didn't have enough buttons...

I've also heard there's a place on University Avenue here in Minneapolis... maybe I'll check that out sometime this week.

There is a MVS cab at the local bowling alley in St. Paul. I pulled this name and number off of it:

Music and Amusment Dean Superior Co.
(612)-721-3393

They service and I think distribute all the arcade machines to Midway Pro Bowl. Give it a shot.

Criterionradiohead ;)

P.S.

Let me know what happens if you give them a call.

Sounds like a good lead - I'll follow up on it over spring break hopefully.

Man, I just wish shipping wasn't so dang expensive on cabs from other states...
