this game is absolutely amazing from what ive played. the weight of the mechs as they move (how it feels on the pad) is awesome. graphics are prolly the best of any ps2 game ive ever seen.

Demo arrived this morning, man its pretty damn good. Strangest thing is that its not that "transformery", in that it has no classic TF music or guises, either way its a pretty cool action title, the transforming and fighting is all good. Will buy.

Yeah, that's because it's based on the Transformers from the newer cartoon from last year, "Armada", not the original. Unfortunately, the Armada cartoon wasn't so great (what I saw of it), but the game looks pretty fun. Now there's an even newer series that I haven't seen any of, that combines traditional animation and CG. Anyone seen it? Any good?Baseley09 said:

I think what i meant was that the game being Transformers is neither here nor there, its just a pretty great action title. I guess being Prime might make it feel a little more real, the demo is Red Alert only.

Ah, I see what you mean. What's ironic about the game is that if you had to choose only 3 Armada characters to be able to play as, I think Red Alert would be the very last Transformer on the show most people would pick (only beating out the kids, probably). But I guess they couldn't have known that when they began development.Baseley09 said:

I did finally play it, impressive I have to say graphics are as good as your going to get on the PS2. Music is nice and g33ky for this sort of game. The whole thing plays alot like Brute force on xbox, which isn't a bad thing IMO.

i love this game.. not quite enough for it to dethrone metal arms but close enough.

awesome boss battles (though tidal wave is a pain)
the power ups are cool coz there are so many (wings rule ) try going to the top of the aztec pyramid and gliding over the valley.. amazing draw distance on the ps2.. very beatiful..
