I really don't see it happening. :crying:

Or if it did happen, the result would just be a dvd console, that's identical to everything else on the market. :shame:

And, you know, a company like Microsoft is struggling to keep at least some kind of foothold. What could Playmore do? :oh_no:

But realities aside: Sammy and SNKP could produce a joint venture console based on the Atomiswave, sell it to the niche market that is us, and then re-evaluate the situation in 15 years. :glee:

The closest thing we'll probably see to that are limited-release Dreamcast ports of Atomiswave games. Don't get me wrong, though; I'd love to see something like that, but even the idea of a Dreamcast port is getting more and more far-fetched. :crying:

Yep, it looks like a consolized Atomiswave might be the only option left, besides going all-out arcade cabinet, that is.

Yeah, I seriously doubt it. An AW console would be the most likely choice, but I really don't see that happening, unfortunately.

If you want to play the next generation of SNKP games at home you're going to be left with three choices:

a) the PS2 (im) ports

b) an Atomiswave and supergun

c) an Atomiswave and cab

I don't think the idea of DC ports is too far fetched, at least for the next 2-3 years. A consolized atomiswave would be very cool, but realistically it won't happen.

It is very unlikely that SNKP would make a console. Playmore has shifted their focus away from AES/MVS to Sammy's Atomiswave. I hate to see this happen...new AES/MVS releases will be missed.:crying: As far as small AES cart runs are concerned...I don't think that they could get any smaller than they have been in the last few years. Most of the recent AES releases have been some where are 500 or less....KOF would be one of the few exceptions....if I'm not mistaken.

Hmm, I honestly think there is space for a atomisware console on the market IF they went down the cd road, the atomisware hardware is cheap as shit to make a gamecube currantly costs about $40 to make last time I checked and is has higher specs. What we looking at? $20-30 to produce? sell it for $50? All the hardcore gamers would buy it for the KOF games, and those on a budget (stupid parents) would too. Now please someone don't come in now and say "it's already out it's called dreamcast HARHARHAR PWNED" as dreamcast is dead, no you can't pull it back a few releases here and there still make it no go to the masses... a new console EVEN if it's the same specs makes most people go "OOooo! lookie! 128 bits that's good! Wow it's new so It must be more poweaful dan da xbox!!!21!11!!" or something and could break into the market. Last console wars have been won by price more than anything, not games IMO and on Sammy we are getting decent games so that's a bonus

Man I wish this would happen..but it will not.:( The mainstream gamer does not really know about Neo Geo, SNKP, or Atomiswave. 2-D fighters are not an easy sell anymore....everyone wants 3D this and 3D that. A new console by SNKP would mostly likely never make it. Sony and Microsoft both have a tight grip on the console market.

Anybody who says that SNK should come out with an AW console is stupid. There already is one. It's called the Dreamcast.

How are DC ports realistic when none have come out for such a damn long time?

They're not. Think PS2 or Xbox - those will produce the numbers they're looking for, or at least one that's closer.

Not me. 3D is ok for flight sims and racing games, 3D fighters DO NOT WORK!

Evidently you've never played Virtua Fighter 4.

One out of hundreds doesn't make for a strong argument.

All KOF games since the 99 version have come out on the DC(correct me if im wrong). And I´ve read somewhere that even KOF 2003 is on its way.
