can anyone please turn it off? please? it's really annoying.

Or an option to disable it on users control panel...

I think it would be even better. Who likes it will let it on.
It's annoying though.

just click cancel instead of ok and it won't ask the recipient for the read receipt. i agree that it is very annoying though... i'm in favor of removing it if it comes to that.
