Signature Character Length??

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere - I tried looking around but didn't see a thread on it. The new forums are preventing me from editing my sig: anytime I add anything to it, I get a message saying that 500 characters is the limit. I don't have a particularly large sig, and this has only happened after I wanted to add new names to my list of good members to deal with. Is there a way around this problem or could it be changed?

Yeah I saw that...kinda puts a dent on those who have those long list of sellers with a pic added :(

...and so "teh drama" begins with the nuances with this NEW version of V-Bulletin. :( *We've had it for one day and already I have issues with it, alot more than getting used to the jump from UBB to V-Bulletin the first time around. Now I feel like I'm at freckin S-C.Com with the layout, and it's annoying having to scroll to the bottom of the screen to see who's in each respective area, rather than above. :mad:

...but at least our post rankings and avatars are there so I guess that's a blessing in disguise.

Could any mod comment on this? Would it be possible to bump this limit up to, say 1000 or 1500 characters?

Honestly,

I personally hate long sigs. good traders or not. I saw one sig before the update that used a link to a page with the names listed -seemed much more reasonable.
After the 2nd time, those long sigs really get annoying and break up the flow of a thread.

However, limiting sigs was never really discussed prior to the upgrade, so I figure this is an unforeseen result.

With the new feedback forum, I don't see the point in keeping those long traders lists in the sigs. Why not make a thread there with your refs, and then just link to it in the sig?
I blocked the viewing of sigs long ago anyway.

Thats a great idea, its a shame idiots can't put 2 and 2 together.

Anyway, I seem to remember this being a problem in a previous forum upgrade. I think it will be fixed; it was last time, after all. Then again, if everyone had a sig-a-majig, their signatures would probably fit, and the forum would be a bit easier on the eyes.

Getting OT, and yes I've been whoring this, but the feedback forum is nice... but is there a way to impliment my suggestion in D-Lite's stickied thread in Neo Selling?

Yeah, I try to keep my sig fairly minimalistic. If you've got over 30 people or so listed in your sig, it's probably best just to make it a link.

Makes sense to me..since we now have the thread we should all put it to use.

Upgrade the sigs...500 characters aint enough space...as I cant add anymore people to my sig. Ive been trying to add new people but it wont let me. :(

If nothing will be done which probably not...then Ill have to change my sellers/buyers/traders sig to be smaller then some how and some way. I guess like the way some of you have it.

You could do as i did and create a link to the FEEDBACK FORUM and put it in your sig (ie: Check my sig), since thats partly what it was designed for. Its better IMO, to start a single post in the FEEDBACK FORUM w/ a list of your Sellers/Buyer/Traders instead of uselessly filling up a sig w/ text and pictures galore thus wasting other peoples time having to scroll thru all the junk to get to the next post. :cool:

I just put the best sellers/buyers on my list. If they need more references Ill give my list to them. :D
