I don't usually say what game I am going to get unless it is a new release and others are talking about getting it in some thread on these forums. However, in the case of this game I thought I would share my thoughts about getting this game with all of you. I have been wondering if I have made the right choice or not in seeking this game. This damn thing is going to cost me an arm and a leg but I have been obsessing over getting one for about a year now. I don't think that I will find peace unless I have a nice mint condition copy of my own. I once had a conversion of this game but sold it because I felt like a poor Neo Geo gamer who could not own the real thing. In fact, I sold off all of my conversions of released games. I only buy conversions of unreleased games now since the only way to buy an unreleased game in home cartridge format is via conversion process.

Anyway, back to the main topic. When I had a conversion of this game I thought that it was a great game. For some odd reason I liked this game better than any other dueler I have played on the Neo Geo. I have heard some people say that it wasn't so hot but the game just clicked for me. I just love its dark moody feel and the overall atmosphere of the game. The game has a hard edge to it that appeals to me. It is bloody as Hell and the bosses in the game seem to be serious bad asses. They are also cheap fighters but they really make the player sweat to beat them. These bosses also seem to be a little frightening considering they are working with demons from Hell so they will have super human powers.

The intro of the game also really pulled me in and I think that it is the best dueler intro I have ever seen. I also like the subtle and ambient Japanese style music. The combo system seems to hit home with me as well. I just like how the combo system is set up. Some people may say that it doesn't have the best graphics in the world but they suit me just fine. I also like the fact that the game is exactly 330 megs. For many years I thought that 330 megs was the highest amount of megs the Neo Geo could handle and I always wondered what such a game would look like. Once I saw Ninja Master's, I knew what such a game would look like.

So in conclusion (I know this is getting long), I have asked Neo Bomber Man to pick me up a copy when he goes to Japan this May. I have faith that he will find me an almost perfect looking copy so that I will finally have a game that I have been lusting after for ages. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear your thoughts on this issue.

I can tell from your post that you will pick up this game, regardless of what I might say to the contrary. So, I may as well wish you and Neo Bomber Man the best of luck in finding a minty fresh copy! :D

The one at the Neo Store isn't good enough? :)

Well, the one at the NeoStore says that it is on hold for someone. Also, the game is listed at $725. The game is in the desired condition but I think that it is $100 too much. FTL told me that I shouldn't pay more than $650 tops for the game no matter how good the condition is. I am crossing my fingers hoping that Neo Bomber Man can find me a copy in Japan. I have seen a few copies up for sale on ebay but I wasn't 100% sure about what condition they were in. Some people will tell you a game is in great condition but when you get the game, it is sunfaded to hell and I don't want that. Neo Bomber Man has a great rep so when he tells me that he has a minty copy - I will believe him as opposed to some guy on ebay. Once I get the game, I will be super nice to it - no matter how pissed I get from being killed by the main bad guy - I will never bash it. :)

Must've missed the "on hold" bit when I looked at it earlier yesterday...
Yes, I was eyeing that game for a week or two. I was thinking about emailing Shawn and ask him to hold the game for me while I got the money ready. I know that it would be $100 too much but I would know that it would come in great condition. It is better to pay $100 too much for a great product than $200 too much for a crappy product. You may get a Ninja Master's on ebay for about $500 but you run the risk of getting a shitty looking game or no game at all. I have faith that Neo Bomber Man will be able to get me a copy. I can't wait till May when he goes out and hunts me down a copy in Japan. :drool_2:
