OK review.

The comment at the bottom of the two page spread said that since there was a limited release for the US Neo Geo system in 2000 (only 500 copies) the cart has become a collectors item, selling for almost $ 300 on Ebay.

What a laugh! If only they knew!

I could scan it, but I would need someone to host it.

They could be wrong, but it said there were 8 levels, there were two mini games and you can select any of all of the levels to start with. Apparently there are some additional slugs.

We will see when the final product is out.

I had to resize it, crop it, and compress it a bit, but here it is:

Low-resolution.. _textures_?
Elephant slug... console only?

Am I missing something?

This looks like they may limit the credits, that would be rad. Then people will not complain about it being a bomb-bomb-bomb-die-repeat game.

"Level of difficulty may not suit some gamers"

I'm sure that those wimpy cry babies are not buying this game anyway so that is not a problem.

"low-resolution textures"

 where is the bump mapping, and I wonder if it has many polys? :make_fac:

Three credits & eight missions? Heh, sounds like a dream, and the reviewer hasnt even mentioned difficulty settings yet!

Good job on scans & hosting, Curt, thanks

Lepantalone scanned the Xbox magazine, he sent them to me via e-mail, and I just resized/cropped/hosted them. Credit goes to him

Whoa! I think it looks rad... I still prefer my Shinkiro MS3 art on my AES cart, but thats cool to have in addition!

Looks like it may have been drawn by an american artist.

That's some great cover art compared to what is on the KOF 00/01 double pack.

"Only on Xbox" :loco:
The average X-box owner isn't old enough to remember the Neo.
Besides most will be turned off because its not a fps and doesn't use 175,000,000,000 polygons.

So... what's the deal with the leader boards? I'm just wondering as apperently there is a credit limit, but we all know that true high score holders for any shooter--yes, including the Metal Slug series even though some may argue weather or not it even is a shooter--only uses one credit on default settings.

Just curious really. I probably won't pick this up new as I already have it on MVS.

I would think it would have some display of dif. level and credits used. Or maybe using a credit would reset your score to 0.

The only thing I can think of is if they are counting Fat Island and the UFO one as missions.
