they somewhat look alike in 2k1. maybe father and son perhaps?

Wha...oh, I see what you're saying.
I don't think that it's more father and son, than clone/human enhancement project.
K' was instilled with the powers of Kusanagi (I think...) which made him more powerful. It also changed his hair from black(I'm guessing from Another K') to white.
Krizalid, who had a suit which game him the "firey powers," also had white hair and a similar clothing style.
I believe Shin Zero is either wearing a similar suit; or Krizalid, Zero, and K' all had the same enhancements done to them.
This is all speculation, however.

I think he's just got the Kusanagi power in him, just like K'. And almsot every person from NESTS ever!
