League Bowling and Baseball Stars 2 is fun

I got these 2 games in the mail on wendsday.

Good stuff. My wife hates fighters that are not Street Fighter ) and dislikes retro games in general (She only plays Ps2 and XBOX)

But we enjoyed these 2 games a lot.

Baseball Stars 2 is the better game but Bowling is unique and just a funny game.

I got them for Neo Geo CD and they both take about 30 seconds to load and have no other load times.

They are both pretty cheap and a cool way to kill time.

I got League Bowling this weekend and funnily enough, my girlfriend, who also ignores the rest of my systems in favour of the Xbox (or her favourite, the Dreamcast) won't put it down!

Try not to encourage this if you want to protect your Metal Slug time!

It is a really cool game though, simple but effective.

I dont mind if she want's to play more Neo Geo, shes the type who would buy more games so maybe she can contribute to my collection.

Maybe your girlfriend will get a Neo Geo for herself and get more games to help out your collection. That or you can buy her games as presents. A non R rated present both people can enjoy.

I am slowly trying to get my girlfriend to get back into retro gaming (I hate that term!), she was a huge Master System fanatic and I hope that might start some interest in the Megadrive (my personal favourite).

The Neo has done wonders in this respect, it has reminded her that what she calls 'old skool 2D arcade freak games' are in fact supremely playable pieces of coding that have stood the test of time far better than the early 32 bit 3D games ever could.

Still, I do miss having my games room as a sort of 'man only' room that smelt of spanners and bacon and all things manly.

On a side note, are you the same Covenant Elite as the one on Gamefaqs?

Dont overlook any of the other Baseball games either as all of them are a blast to play in their own way, although most will say they hardly differ much. I regularly play the origional Baseball Stars Professional and always enjoy it.

League Bowling is always a fave among friends who stop bye , I think the magic of these games are in the their simplicity. These are games that just about anyone can sit in front of and pickup and play without ever even seeing them before and that is like pure magic to non gamer types.

I highly recommend Neo Turf Masters if you guys havent already looked into it , really great game Very simplistic and fun to play even for those that dont really care for golf.... It can be a bit pricey but I think its probably worth it. Its another game that chicks usually get into easilly and its a heck of alot of fun to play ... I do wish it had a 9 Hole play option though as 18 Holes can be a bit much at times.

I play both these on mvs, great games.

Would have to say I prefer 2020 as a baseball game, btw not being from the states have actually not played baseball. Cricket doesnt lend itself to arcade games.

I actually enjoy bowling in real life so I really wanna try and get League Bowling.

I enjoy Baseball Stars 1, but hate BBS2.

League Bowling... presents well but its so simple, I find myself wanting something more complex to play... teh Slug or somefing.

I love both BBstars 2 and League Bowling. 2020 baseball is also a pretty fun game. Of course, Neo Turfmasters is one my favorites on the Neo period.

I love to make my batters get hit by as many pitches as possible. That way, I deck all their pitchers, and by the 5th or 6th inning thier tossing me fastballs at a lightning pace of 45 mph . Then it's home run derby time

Ah, the finer points of BBS 2.

I've got both these games on AES and love them to death. I've played BBS2 more than any other Neo game ever.

League Bowling!

I've been a huge fan of that game for years. Actually, I was an addict from the moment I first laid my hands on it, and my fiancee has shown interest in it as well.

It's one of the games I hope to get the second I can finally afford a Neo Geo.

I played BBS pro and League Bowling alot over the years, but Stakes Winner is my favorite sports game.

BBS2 is one of my favorite games of all time I play that game a lot. I've only played the flash version of Bowling and I want to get that one as well because it was cool. I love bowling games as long as they have some what of a twist to them. Oh and Golf I want that one too.
