at the local Power Gamer shop here in Towson MD.

They wanted $ 389.99 for the JP version.

It was nice to see it actually on a shelf, at a store. Dont think it will sell anytime soon though.

I haven't seen an AES game in walk-in store since Babbages back in 93/94.

Hmmmm .... a little overpriced - but that must have been cool to see it in the store.

They sell new and used neo games and accessories at a local Game Force in Colorado! :buttrock: Last time I was there I picked up 2 used old school neo sticks for $70. They have a couple AESs in stock, ~20-30 games including a few copies of MS5 and SVC. Some older used ones too, I am sure that they have KoF 2003 by now. Prices aren't too bad either. You can even buy debug bios or a Rage of the Dragons MVS cart there... ;)

By far the best game store I have ever been to no matter what you are looking for. They have tons of import stuff for DC, PS2 and GBA a as well as Japanese game soundtracks... Right next to the university dorms, must get alot of Japanese students shopping there.

same here, in fact, scratch that, since like 90/91

it's been that long

what if the Neo Store, was actually a retail store?

that'd be a cool sight to see

I bought Super Sidekicks 2, Windjammers, and Top Hunter from Babbage's when they had their 50% off Neo Geo game close out. Good deal, if I say so myself:D

When I was in Atlanta about a year ago, I found a game store that had a number of AES and CD games; mostly Japanese, all overpriced. Also, a few years ago, a local salvage store near me that buys out fire or water damaged and bankrupt businesses had a pretty big supply of AES carts. As I wasn't into the Neo at that time, I didn't pay much attention to what games they had.

Great deal. I was too young (11/12) at the time, I couldn't afford teh NEO GEO. Now at 21, I have myself a nice little collection :D

Hell, I've never seen any AES product in a walk-in store.

Good God, some of you guys are deprived. I see AES/MVS carts on shelves at GameDude every time I walk in there, and at some of the other game stores around Los Angeles. I've never considered it a big deal.

Turbo Grafx games, on the other hand...

if its in a store the price is very reasonable!

since online buying is always cheaper, and it saves you postage buying from a store

I remember I bought Legend of Success Joe from a store, took it home, beat it, went back a few days later and exchanged it. What a terrible game. I got Last Resort instead.

I saw that game too at towson power gamer. What will end up happening is that the game will probably get super cheap eventually because they cannot possibly sell it at that price. Anybody who knows anything about AES wouldn't pay that much for that game

Haven't seen any AES or CD games in a walk in store since GAME WORLD went corporate into EB GAMES. Back in the late 90's the stores (there were 3 of them, 1 counting a temporary location one XMAS) carried the stuff, though usually only at the Blanco Road location. I do remember seeing the AES at Babbages back in the day though, now that was freggin' cool. *To me the big deal is walking into a game store in 2K4 and seeing a couple of BANDAI PLAYDIA games on the shelf.

Gameforce in Boulder, CO at the corner of 30th and Baseline. Right across from the dorm buildings that are the tallest buildings in town. If you were coming into town on US36 get off on the Baseline exit, take a right and you are there. :D

Wow, very good deal. Although, I think I can do one better. ;)

A few years ago, I was browsing the local FuncoLand/GameStop, when in walked this guy with an English Top Hunter NGH AES. Apparently, it was one of the last remaining titles from his college-bound son's video game collection, and daddy dearest was making sure it didn't become unwanted clutter in his house.

As the oblivious employee began his speech on why FuncoLand/GameStop couldn't take back such obsolete and outdated merchandise, I quickly chimed in and offered all the money I had on me. Unfortunately, at the time, this was only $11.00 U.S.D. Still, the guy took the deal on the spot; he was happy to even make a profit from the junk he'd have just as quickly tossed.

I was practically beaming for the rest of that day. Heck, I was pure radiance that whole freakin' week.

Everytime I got to a used game shop I ask if they have neo stuff. Most of the time they say "Yea, over here." and they show me like KOF R-2 or something. "No I mean Neo Geo not Neo Geo Pocket." The answers then range anything from:

"I haven't seen one of those in over 10 years man!"
"They don't make those any more so no one has them"
"Wow, you know about the NEO!"

But once a guy had League Bowling.

I know of two walk in stores that sell AES carts, but one of em, dear god, is selling Fatal Fury Special for about $175. Needless to say, I'm thankful for eBay and the Neo selling forums.
