hi everyone,
i just found this board and i figured you guys could answer my question better then anyone else.
my neogeo AES gold system has this serial number on the back.

90A 000032

does that mean anything to anyone?
im asking because im selling it on ebay right now, and i just noticed that the other sellers (for neogeo's) are listing thier serial number, and im wondering if mine would beget a higher demand, or what?

just incase nobody believes me, heres a digipic i just took.

Word has it that Neos with lower serials than 050,000 have the best RGB video output.

You have to copy and paste the URL to the browser. Now does anyone have a lower number? Lowest I ever had was 2XX I can't remember.

I'm sure someone would pay a premium for it.

it's worth no more, or no less than any other neo system. it's just the fact that there are idiots into the neo that will pay more for it just because of a serial number.

i added the serial number info due to what everyone was saying about.

Dude, its not that "rare" or anything. You're not going to get anymore than any other system is worth. Don't kid yourself.

Does the low serial number have any bearing when you have the system modded by Kurtz or someone else that knows what they are doing?

Not really. I'm sure they're familiar with that board revision.

I remember reading that either !Arcade! or Kenny Boy said that they had perfected the moding process to a point that it doesn't matter what generation Neo Geo system you are using, the sound and video output will be all the same. I could be mistaken though... I will let them speak for them selves on that one.

@ Spike
I can beleive that people have been finding diferent system revision in seemingly incorrect shells, but I'd be willing to bet that it is because all of the shell swaping that happens these days. People will buy a cheap bare bones Neo Geo strictly for the minty condition shell to house their fully moded systems. Just a thought.

Yeah, yeah. Because of this we are inadvertantly causing hype.
