AES maintenance question?

This is a stupid question but I just want to be 100% sure about this. Cleaning AES carts with a cart cleaner kit? Would this end up hurting the AES cart? Like the old kits they made for N64 and stuff like that. Before I buy one and use it on a $300.00 cart I want to make damn sure it's safe. Thanks in advance!

not sure about a cart cleaning kit, but what I use is a qtipp and electrical contact cleaner, which you can get at your local radioshack. I have used this with my original AES copy of Pulstar, and it didnt hurt the cart, I just clean the prongs though, i dont take the cart apart.

Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't dare take one of those suckers apart unless it was already broken to begin with. But I just wanted to see what other people have used before I try something. Thanks.
