Unibios Help?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask for help regarding this, so mods please move if it isn't.

With the Unibios, you can set the 'Hidden Character flag' in KOF '02 and other games, however Kusanagi doesn't automatically appear, how does this work?

in kof2002 the secret character flag allows you to play as Rugel, simply enable th cheat and then move onto the last section of the count down timer (move to Yashiro and move left once for example).

The code, according to GameFaqs, to select Kusinagi in KOF '02, is to highlight Kyo. Than move up, down, right, left, down, up, left, and right. The cursor should be over where Kyo was, but show Kusinagi.
